50 levels later, I have my perfect Templar build. (and 9 full respec)

Thats my build! dual wield for aoe and mob slaughter; charge in with spear blazing spear, then solar barrage, puncturing sweep and finally steel tornado till everythings dead. Repentance after to regain health and stam. Swarm of bats when its huge mob.

Destruction staff for boss fights and single target quest fights. Elemental Drain first, follow by Power of the Light, then Vampires Bane, Destructive Clench a few times andt Invigorating Drain if it's a possible target. Shooting star when its a big boss with adds.

I only placed points in Enchanting, crafting is up to you.

Thoughts?

**All my other weapon skills are 32+ level except for 1h1shield, simply because i dont want to be a tank. So i have tried every possibility with weapon type and i ultimately find DW to be the most powerful aoe due to its response speed. I originally thought destruction staff would be more of an aoe weapon but it relies enemies to stand at a single spot for too long, i rather chase them and hope they stand still.

I also chose Heavy armor for survivability, absolutely no problem with Magicka, no need for light armor at all. Just by splitting attributes between health and magicka was more than enough.

Just so you know, veteran level mobs have 3000-6000 HP, and can be in packs of 5 to 8 (at best)

    So plan accordingly.

there is no "this build is best build" you need to slot diffrent spells depending on situation however there sure is some abilities that outshines others and can be used in 90% of the situations.

just to point out, you dont have any singel target nuke ultimate for bosses wich you need to have.

Also dont worry there is around 300 skillpoints in total, so no point respeccing.

just about morphing correct for most situations.

so you basicly have not even gathered 50% of the skillpoints you can get :)

Yea... I don't think this does enough damage...
Most notably, steel tornado hits for nothing compared to biting jabs, blazing spear is pure garbage in every way, and solar barrage is out played by a simple biting jab spam..
Plus you dont have a shield to block with...
Power attacks from mobs at veteran level will flatten you...

    I am currently VR-5, clearing VR-6/7 content using this;

    Solo damage / Group healer

It probably looks really weird, so allow me to explain...
First off, when solo, wear 5 Heavy, 2 Light. You REALLY need the survivability. I was rolling as 7 light for the longest time, and if you make a single mistake, fail to block a power attack, you get one shot.

So, your Sword and board is your damage bar, really, you will never leave this bar while solo. the other bar is pure healing. The idea is that you bash (L+R click, not the ability Power Bash) the *** out of single target stuff (I bash for 250 base, 350 if I wear +Bash damage jewelry) and Drain Essence to get your stam immediately back up.
throw in a few biting jabs when their HP is starting to drop, that's about it. Blow your boom heal when *** hits the fan.

AoE is where this really shines though. Hit Radiant Aura (stam regen) and Shield charge in, immediately start spamming biting jabs. Watch for enemies using power attacks, get your shield up when they are incoming.
Pop your heal when your HP is spiking down, and remember to constantly backpedal. this forces the mobs to stay inside your tight aoe cone.
When they aren't all clumped together dish out some bashes and essence drains until they are again, and resume biting jabs.

The reason I roll this spec is because it doubles perfectly as a healer. Drop all the heavy armor for light armor with +magic, and jewelry with +magic regen. Keep the stam regen buff up on your group, and spam the *** out of your boom heal. Remember to get a resto staff power attack in BETWEEN EVERY CAST!!!!!!!!
    I cannot stress this enough.
Your power attack with resto staff gives you 10% of your MAX magic. Every time.
It is by far the best magic regen in the game.
If you are not casting something, you need to be power attacking. there is NO EXCUSE for you to not be actively doing something at every second during the fight.

Cool. I like this. I've been playing a Bow / Resto staff Templar and have been wanting to try out a melee templar but still be able to main group heal. I'm lvl 43 now and for the longest time I've been wearing 5 light / 2 medium mostly since I need the magicka regen for when I'm healing in dungeons. It never occurred to me I can just have a different set of armor so I can successfully melee and not be squishy.

    Time to respec~
