Mid year mayhem over, servers back to absolute garbage, eso + sub canceled

The performance once the event ended became even worse than before the event started. I literally experience multiple second delays on every skill at nearly all times, CC breaking takes multiple attempts and trying to ani cancel a skill…. Lol. Even a 1v1 or small group v 1 is so incredibly laggy that you are basically dead if your healthbar approaches anywhere near half, you can block a meteor or a leap, watch it hit then 2 seconds later be CCd and receive full damage, like its actually unplayable unless strapped to a healer or you are permacloaked. A bit of lag is expected and acceptable, especially if you play in a zerg or a ball group but this is just horrendous. I’m only thankful that some game breaking super meta set or mythic wasn’t added to blackwood so I wasn’t forced to spend another $60 on this barely working title.

    I didn't notice the typically obvious server upgrade during this MYM. Sometimes it was just wonky as if I should have disconnected but didn't. Other times, the game disconnected or stopped responding if my character moved a few yards in a keep.

    So, you say it's back to the crappy performance? Yuck.

    the pvp performance experience varies a bunch for different folks...

    then again, after so many years of it, I may just have grown numb to the crappy game performance...

    Mym is just a painful reminder that the game can actually run with more than 4 people in an area with no major issue, ZOS just chooses to not run it.

    Not sure what sorcery they've used all this years but it should be permanent. I'm only glad that after mym most ball groups would be off again, it's still main reason for lag but they surely can't care less so here we are.

    Absolutely no difference for me between MYM and any other time. Same 2-3 second delays during prime time as always. Same stun lock can't break free. Actually started crashing which I generally don't. Plenty of others saying the same thing. Even with all of the low APM PVE'ers on there taking up faction roster space sending regulars to the temp servers.

    Ravenwatch wasn't even pop-locked for any faction yet skills were lagging like crazy.

    Zos mentioned that the server upgrades they were doing would no improve performance. Also that phase is so played out. You obviously can't give anything you've used away in this game lmao.

    They said "new servers" not "better servers".

    Is my new Honda better than my old Porsche? Maybe, if you consider cost of purchase, maintenance, and operation. Performance? Not so much.

    When ZOS announced their "new servers", I read that as "cheaper servers". They may be better for ZOS, but they're not better for us.

They ended up just throwing this onto the server and created even more lag. All so 4 people could play stadia👍 who knows, maybe all that Google money they got for ruining the enjoyment of the existing platforms will pay for new servers 👏

    I play a lot of pvp in this game but I've decided to give up on Cyrodiil in prime time. This has been a long time coming for me. Last night I tried it for an hour and I could only use about 1 skill every 4-5 seconds. It took 4 or more attempts to break free and cc immunity wasn't working. You could be re-cced when you should be immune. Skills that were firing were not working reliably. I had someone drop a toxic barrage on me and it did zero damage (the dot debuff didn't even show up on my buff/debuff tracker). Cast time skills would just hang indefinitely.

    When performance is that bad the game just becomes a function of luck and group size rather than strategy or skill.

    It will be PVE, battlegrounds, and casual off hours Cyrodiil for me from here on out. I'm done with the lag.

    I've been playing the game and doing pvp regularly since console launch and I really think that this is the worst I've ever seen it. I don't have any faith that this can ever be fixed. The problems seem just too fundamental to the game engine and server capacity.

    PS: Performance was also bad throughout MYM this time around. Prime time in GH was unplayable. I stuck it out for the AP gains but this frustration has pushed me to a breaking point with the game.

    If the performance is essentially the same as before MYM and the sub was canceled after MYM ended due to the performance of the game, why was there a sub to begin with?

    I tried to play no CP sicne I am still alliance locked on CP, but the moment I entered I had 300+Ping without even doing anything. I tried to use the wayshrine to just leave again, not even that worked...

    Because there is a level of tolerance to pain and frustration. The sub is active when during the honeymoon phase, when we are optimistic that ZOS will carry out their promises, when we haven;t realized every set of patch notes is just a batch of nerfs, etc.

    Then realization sets in and the sub gets cancelled.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    i dont think zos can fix pvp lag or has the will to do so. the game was developed with clientside checks, and every year the performance gets worse and worse. Even if they kill cyro (like delete the map) the game will generate enough money.

    Maybe they should cut cyro in pieces like imp city. Wont like that approach but if it fixes lag ill stay ^^

    Performance was pretty bad for me during mym; even in an empty campaign(cyro) in the middle of the night massive desynchs, skill simply not working, trying to mount requiring multiple attempts and, when it did work, auto-dismounting as if the requests were queued and all hit the sever at once....

    IC was ok during the event, though other than the 'entering campaign' error and load screens when trying to use laddars.

    Noticing a lot more of this kind of slowing down outwith cyro/ic; I think any performance improvements they might have made have been chewed up by jamming more players into the same servers - and adding companions on top.

    Movement speed lag is one of the most consistently infuriating aspects of this current patch's performance woes.

    Nothing like hitting Sprint and continuing to slowly jog for five seconds before the server finally gets around to updating your movement to Sprint... but by then you're in combat and no longer Sprinting yet flying around the map unable to cast abilities because... you're Sprinting. Ugh.

    This is why i play dot/hot builds with some direct damage too,works in lag.

    I gave up on pvp right after my pvp guild went from 100+ active members to less than 5. We all became very disenfranchised from the years lag, disconnects, desyncs, and skill delays that continue getting worse. It sucks.

    That's what they said half a year ago but are they really? Instead they are just putting a band aid on by disabling proc sets in no-cp cyro.

    I haven't had problems in Cyrodiil on PS5.

    I'm on PS5, and was unable to use puncture on a resource worker last night. I just sort of spazzed out, half animating and not actually casting. There were maybe 3-5 other players present, no enemies unless they hid. I quit for the night after that. The game looks awesome, but the same problems persist. I was leaping people, and approx 2-3 seconds later they would fly up in the air. I feel stupid for playing when the game behaves like this, so I stop.
