Magicka Morph of 2h Rally Skill?

It’s no secret that it has been a predominately stamina meta now for a while. (Magsorc never included.). There are some simple things that can be done. Refer to title or perhaps derive some ideas from it. Destruction staff vs 2h seems to always be brought up, and for good reason. I mean, just read what you get from rally. For magicka, we have to slot THREE skills to do that. That’s a huge issue. Rally is just too good that I don’t see people running forward momentum often enough anymore. Remember how you toon DK’s stone skill and gave Stam a morph? Maybe try a mag version of rally. Or better yet, buff degeneration to do something similar, so ranged mag could enjoy it too. Balance is getting wacky guys. And the balance team had been eerily quiet for far too long. And by quiet, I mean silent.

    yes, a weapon dependend buff for major sorcery that you can prebuff is really needed. perhaps deadly cloak?

    The destruction staff skill line could use some work. We really don’t need 4 options for an AoE spammable (Pulsar/Ring, Shock Clench, Unstable Wall, and Force Pulse). Personally I don’t care much about Major Sorcery since it’s easy to get from potions, class skills, or degen, but maybe it could end up somewhere in Destro skills as well if they get updated for some variety.

    It is not easy to get from potions, because if you do get it from potions, you cannot use other ones. For me this is one of the major reasons, why I avoid magicka builds.

    Or they could actually implement the spell crafting system they once planned on making(I wish)?

    I know they had some visions regarding class skills vs weapon skill(and other tratlines) but the development process is extremely slow, probably due to issues with performances that taking lots of considerations. It took like 2-3 years to implement the new CP system which honestly doesn't look that ground braking or hard to develop.

    2h mauls work fairly well on a lot of mag setups, I'd like to see Momentum give both Major Brutality and Major Sorcery in addition to "must slot degeneration" crap magicka is stuck with.

    A reminder that there is a good dot that already gives sorcery on activation, and increases your max magical and magical recovery for having it slotted.

    I mentioned degen, but a lot of builds (particularly in PvP) don’t like that it cannot be used to buff without a target, before combat, and has a relatively short duration.

    Maybe adding Major Sorcery to Channeled Acceleration would be more appropriate, since it is longer duration and available to all classes. That skill seems underpowered, and adding another buff to it may give a real choice between using that and Race Against time, or Barbed Trap.

    I don’t see why ele drain couldn’t have major sorcery too. Have you seen what a wardens netch does for free? Yea zos the way you have mag set up, we can’t fit skills on our bars. Stam users have like 2 flex spots a bar, or at least 1 each bar. Lot of mag toons sacrifice skills. Mag needs a version of rally. Badly.

    Major sorcery needs equal a sales of mages guild skills on new toons. Sales would go down if they could cover it with Psijiic.
    I like both ideas, but I doubt they will give up the revenue. You can have degen with a few books, but the passives and meteor are a chore on console and there's a p2convenience solution.
