And it's players.
Nobody. Ever. Gathers. Groups.
Even when lots of players play.
Even when you are very far from total map control.
Why? Don't you want to gather one strong force and steamroll all the keeps? It doesn't make sense.
Zerging IC doesn't make sense. Every additional member you intentionally bring means less Telvar for you.

That's IF you are fighting bosses, and not players to dominate the map.
If you are not fighting players and go straight for the bosses, you aren't getting much too because each keep increases percentage of telvars gained.
No, that includes fighting players. Any Telvar gained on kill is distributed evenly to your team. The fewer in a group the better. Best results solo.

And then people are crying that IC is gankblade fest. Well sure, because IC solo is not enjoyable for anyone but gankblades.

Regardless, you made this thread about IC, please keep on topic.
Det pots. Get them, use them. Most gank specs are extremely fragile this patch.

I main magicka and stamina NB, and as a gankblade, I love IC for this reason. I absolutely love killing other NB's. Nothing is more satisfying to me honestly.

Ganking always has, and always will be just so much fun. IC makes it really easy too, since you can break up fights into smaller ones. Midyear Mayhem can't be here sooner!

You don't carry telvars into the fight on flags. So it doesn't matter which size of the party you have, you won't get many telvars this way. At least it doesn't compare to the spoils you get when you freely zoom between bosses in 5-6 flag state. And you can't get to that state solo ofc.

A remark: players in your alliance never play together.
I always find myself running from 4-12 man groups when I go to IC.

Because people that go to IC not on gankblades go there with at least 2+ guildmates. And then they open forums and tell you how beneficial is that to 1vX everyone there
Can't really force fights in the IC like you can in Cyrodiil.
Due to the lack of incentives and large scale conflicts the Imperial City just doesn't get the population Cyrodiil does.

Honestly gankblades were an issue when I farmed bosses for achievements on my PvE toon (because DPS). When I go there with my PvP magden or magsorc, they pose no threat. But I always meet enemy groups which absolutely need to chase me across the district for some reason.

Don't worry we're brewing, I've seen a few builds so far since Blackwood dropped that hit hard, even 30k+ HP targets with high resists. I think one build I saw can hit insanely high penetration. Like over 40k pen, it's nuts. I don't know what I'm going to take into IC with me during Midyear Mayhem though, but once everyone farms the new mythics, and tests the new Blackwood sets, I think we'll see some high output gank builds in the wild.

You can. Bosses doesn't give much if you don't control flags.Due to the lack of incentives and large scale conflicts the Imperial City just doesn't get the population Cyrodiil does.
It doesn't get that population because there is no incentive of being there solo, while in cyro you just look at the map and ride, or join some open zerg. So it's down to sweaty PvP guilds running ball groups there to farm telvars vs no resistance.

Well, I'm making a bombblade for MYM for the most festive fireworks and bonfires.
