Blackwood: Interactable Cabinets, Shutters, Urns?

It would be nice if we could have cabinets that can open and close. The Vampiric Cabinet with the lattice front would have been my favorite if it could open and close, but it cannot. Can we have a cabinet that can open? The screenshot below comes to mind with a potential cabinet from Blackwood. I’d love if opening and closing could be a feature.

Open and close pair of window shutters would also be nice and bring life to windows, if we ever get window glass. I’ve tried to use the Solitude Gates but they are a bit too big for all windows, especially if I cannot hide the length of them. A smaller variant would be cool.

Players who value functionality might also be pleasantly surprised if there were some urns we could interact with, similar to storage chests. I don’t care if they’re crown only, I’d want them so bad.

Versions of the crafting writ turn-in containers would also be cool, the kind that can open up. There are also different jewelry boxes such as the Alinor ones that open up when they are looted. If we cannot have individual jewelry furnishings (due to being too tiny) then this option to open up a jewelry box and see what’s inside, even if it’s not functional and just for show, would be amazing and adorable.

These are just a few ideas, but I would go crazy if I had interactable objects like these!

It has iffed me we don't have a toggle for a number of items to be "open" or "closed". We see when looting that most furniture have an open look and I would love to have some drawers and stuff open for a more messy look.

I absolutely love the messy look, and a lot of players have complained that there isn’t as much interactivity in their homes (even if this isn’t 100% what they mean.) However, I’ve had many players who, if they have the option to interact with something like a door or gadget, they will mess with it. It’s addicting. I admit I do it too.

The animations for open/close are already in the game, so it’s entirely possible. I’ll have to take screenshots of in-game interactables to further my point home.

Oh yes. Interactive things needs to be interacted with. That's the rules. I remember when I noticed that the lid of the Hlaalu Trinket Box, Curious Turtle was able to be opened. Those poor hinges got some use.

I would take it a step further and allow us to loot urns, chests, etc as well, rather than just interact with them. Maybe just a small number per day, like 20 or so.

I love the animation for the jewelry boxes in Elsweyr. If we could have those it would be awesome.

I find it odd that there are no craftable jewelry boxes for that chapter but there are for Summerset. Weren’t there some for Greymoor as well?

I personally would just like interactable beds and bar stools. And walls with door frames. Spiral staircases and mini stairs for small heights like getting over the barrier in psijic house to my homemade balcony that doesnt cause clipping. But mainly beds and furnishing increase limit. And an Alinor door that I.can open. I like doors but I need a wall with a frame for them. Also I'd like walls with windows too. Vampiric doors also. And more Ayleidic furniture. And an Alinor bridge and the Alinor trellis with the wysteria as a furnings plan those things cost nearly 1k crowns...I'd like to just be able to build them myself. Also musical items as furniture. They're everywhere in game why can't my house have them? A harp, lute flute. A dwemeri piano or pipe organ. Ik it's not furniture but a pair of glasses would be pretty cool also wearable

I have returned after running around in Summerset and came across this nice little jewelry box that we don’t have. We have a lot of them, sure, but it makes me wonder that if we’re able to get most of them, why not all of them?

Anyways, this is to showcase that it can open up and is lootable. It would be nice to have objects like these in our homes. I dream of having a fully interactable home beyond just chairs, doors and lights.

One day I hope Canopy beds could have an interact action that lets you lie down in them even if you can't adjust how you're positioned, they're beautiful to place but useless in functionality.
