Disabled Proc Sets - Just the 5 piece bonus?

I was told that only the 5 piece bonus of proc sets (like Darloc Brae) are disabled, not the entire set. Is this true or not? Trying to figure out my new build given 5 of the 6 sets I carry as NB are gone the way of the dodo.
I drink and I stream things.

Greasytengu✭✭✭✭✭Basically anything percentage based (like the 4% healing done/received bonuses and 5 piece bonuses like seducer), anything that has a condition (the bulk of proc sets), or anything that applies an effect.

What people are saying on XB is the first 4 bonuses work, just not the. 5 piece bonus.
And for monster sets, the 1 piece bonuses work but my the 2 piece.

It will depend on the set is what people are telling you.
If the 1-4 piece bonuses are flat stats, they will work, if they are % based they will not.

(4 items) Reduces the radius you can be detected while Sneaking by 2 meters. Reduces the cost of Sneak by 10%.
(5 items) While crouching and not blocking, you restore 670 Magicka and Stamina and heal for 670 Health every second.

Slimeclaw the 1 piece bonus is a flat increase to crit, that WILL work.0 -

Pestilent Host:
(2 items) Adds 1487 Physical Penetration
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) Adds 1487 Physical Penetration, Whenever you kill an enemy afflicted with a poison effect, their corpse releases a writhing mass of Fetcherflies, which seek out the nearest enemy within 12 meters, causing them to bleed for 31200 Physical Damage over 10 seconds.
The 1487 Pen on the 5 piece actually do work, so you could run this set even as 5 piece you just miss out on the Fetcherflies.A very special girl
