Pet Peeve: Exterior building not matching interior layout

I really wish the designers at ZOS would consider this when designing homes. They don't and it's kind of jarring when you actually think about it.

For example, the Psijic Villa has windows inside that don't appear on the exterior of the building in both of the side suites, and also the central window above the main entryway. The windows exist on the inside, but not the outside. The 2 side windows that show through to the main hall exist on both and the 2 side rooms with the rotunda designs all match inside and outside and it's fantastic.. but the side suites don't line up at all (unless it can be said that the 2 side wings involve staircases after the door and the 2 suites are actually the upper towers that appear outside.. although those still don't match the window designs of the interior layout)

Inside, note the window appearing to show the light coming in from outside

and outside. how is that light coming in? The side window is matching up with what's inside and it's great. More consistency is a good thing to make it feel like a real place.

and the south side.. where exactly is the suite where you have multiple windows? cause I don't see a place for it.

and I get that it's a bit too late to fix this house (although at least fixing the window above the main entryway would be much appreciated), but for the future, designers should consider this.

make them feel like real spaces that actually exist, rather than a pocket plane of oblivion through a door like portal.

I agree it would be much better if the insides matched the outsides more closely (or vice versa). I've been put off buying a few houses because of it, mainly Domus Phrasticus where the location of windows and fireplaces don't match up at all and Amaya Lake Lodge which is missing most of it's ground floor (among other problems).

I don't mind too much if it's something small. The shape of the front wall of Mournoth Keep is slightly different between the inside and the outside but even though it's the house I've spent the most time in I have to make an effort to compare the two to see how it's different, but other houses have differences I find impossible to miss and that frustrates me.

I think the Psijic Villa is one the worst. As well as the problems you mentioned it seems to be missing at least one floor from the top of the building, possibly two or three and the towers to either side. The inside bears no resemblance to the outside. That's not the only reason I don't use it, but it's certainly a factor.

I don't mind that we're missing indoor spaces that we can see from the outside so much, that they'd be inaccessible
what bothers me more is when we have an indoor space that does not fit into the exterior building design.
Houses have fake fronts, like my house irl has a fake window to a second floor/attic that doesn't exist, it's a ranch style home so everything is on 1 level. So the Psijic Villa having inaccessible upper floors doesn't really bother me since well, I can't access where that window leads on my real house.

But if I had a window on the inside of my real house that was not on the outside of the house? I'd think I was in the Twilight Zone.

Some of these houses exteriors match buildings that already exist in towns, but may have fewer inside rooms. This would account for the discrepancies.

I believe this video is an example of this.

I guess this explains why some console players have so much trouble with this house. There is a lot of area behind the scenes that has to be rendered and it all seems to have collision.
