Inconclusive test results

Doesn't take 200 IQ to know that that if you are going to test something you keep the other variables constant.
Why re-introduce cross healing? The effect that any procs have on performance is going to conflict with this change of variables .

They have also said the test will run for a minimum of 3 weeks, maybe longer. Highly likely at some point they will reinstate having to be grouped to heal to get those results.

Personally I feel it was always a bad move to force people to be grouped to heal, so if the results show that removing proc sets but keeping healing leads to better performance than having procs but only group healing then obviously the current testing parameters are the ones that stay.

Seems like the only people complaining about group healing being reverted are the ones that don't want to see non-pvpers getting AP by logging in with a restro....

Well, if we assume they are telling the truth when they said: "When this test begins on February 15, we will also be reverting a prior test where abilities cast on allies were restricted to group targets only. This adjustment gave no appreciable gains towards performance improvements, so this restriction will be removed until further notice and abilities which target/can be triggered by players outside of your group will once again function as they do outside of Cyrodiil." Bold is mine for emphasis, and source: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/561180/feb-15-cyrodiil-test-details/p1

With that in mind, cross heals are a non-variable compared to PVP during previous tests. There's two variables distinct from previous tests at the moment: group size reduced to 12 (a behavioral change ZOS did not revert) and no proc sets.

If anything, if you really want all the variables to be the same compared to previous performance tests, we should go back to the group size of 24...

You are absolutely right. This is certainly the best approach if you want to reach a goal incrementally and previous steps certainly met their expectations. Which, based on all communication since November, is not the case here.

ZOS already stated that current approach to heals stays also after test until some further notice. If they wanted to test it it would indeed be smarter to star with it for i.e. first week and then revert healing changes and not the other way.

Wouldn't return of cross healing be a return to the status quo before they disabled it?

That puts Cyrodiil right about back at 'neutral' so the proc sets are the new variable.
