PvP in this game is actually bad and needs redesign, who invented this crap?

You don't have to make decisions to take single targets out in enemy groups or which are important to die first. You just stack up 20 people and run with them clumped up and AoE spam buttons.

Spam a couple of DK standards, talons, impale, some silence bubbles, rapid maneuver for immovable immunity and gg.

This requires literally zero skill.

TESO PvP is a pure spam fest, bad and needs redesign.

Stop Zerging then. Smaller campaigns actually need skill to be effective in battles.

PVE pays the Bills because of the pve players. so far pvp seems to be low on the priority list since it give almost 0 incentive. Whoohoo Greens in your mail with ally points to buy more crap gear. oh and dont try leveling here it will take forever.

if your a vet its like gtfo and level elsewhere.

yea there is no skill I have just been joining a large group daily wandering around them and collecting 20 kills without doing literally anything then collect bounty then leave gg.

there is no poiint in staying with all the balance issues, bugs and crashing, and if your not max level and find yourself in a fight with a max level or someone near youre going to die.

Most fun I've had PVPing since the days of Dark Age and so on.

    Skirmishing is a blast.

YOU people are the problem, YOU. Not the game, the game will grow, gain balance and change but you people will always be the same people moaning that you joined the zerg and didn't have fun.

4 of us at level 30 group up and put ourselves between spawn points and the larger battles and we have a blast, 1v1, 4v5, 4 of us vs a single VR10 shouting and laughing on Mumble as we try and roll away.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Well, maybe I could have, but I agree nonetheless, hehe.

I agree there are some abilities that could be tweaked, DK standard obviously needs the ultimate cost increased. but pvp has been pretty good otherwise.

Just duoed a keep last night with just my Nightblade and a friends Templar, only 1-2 defenders but fighting the guards was rather challenging when you could get hit at anytime.

i dont know ...i sit on 20k ap ...i join campaign...join a group ...run with them ...stick to them else I die instantly ..shoot arrows...nothing happens...still get my kills. and then im done cuz I eventually died and cant respawn somewhere close so I leave. Nope, I dont really enjoy it. I enjoy smaller scales. I dont mind dying in 2v2s or something but zerg is just not my thing.

The PvP in this game is fun BECAUSE it's unbalanced. So many OP things and so many different ways to destroy players. If you can't find something fun to abuse, you're not looking hard enough.

If you want a game with all equal gear and all equal access to everything, go play GW2 SPvP.

^^^ "Most fun I've had PVPing since the days of Dark Age and so on."
I 'hate' the place. Once I start playing with my friends (at level 10 mind you) it takes me hours to get out of it and back to leveling, it is THAT much fun! I got clobbered of course a zillion times, but got a few and loved those siege engines. We got DAoC (Matt Fryor) to thank for this excellent design.

    It's not that bad.
Aoe is pathetic I agree but it does not need a whole redesign.
Aoe needs a massive nerf thats all, toned down as a supression toll and not an all out KILL EVERYTHING bullcrap it is now.
Aoe to help control your targets not run into enemy zerg and spam away not knowing that the guy behind you died from it and so on.

Single target attacks should be the deadly ones.
AoE should be restricted to dealing with trash in PVE and for suppression in PVP... Lets hope it gets modeled around that idea.

Ummm, probably because it isn't even a month old yet?? You ppl and your knee jerk reactions. Thinking that a game will have no bugs or issues whatsoever when it first launches is an unrealistic expectation, to say the least.

It's really weird trying to understand and gain an advantage over a pvp system you've never seen before.

If you think zerging works in this game, then you should play something else; because you clearly don't understand the pvp.

It is easier to cry doom and gloom then to sit down objectively and discuss something
Many gamers work in the mindset that if they do not like it for any reason, be it bug, broken or not liking a feature that it can only be a failure
Its all or nothing for gamers, 10 or 0. Nothing in between these days
Those of us who have played MMos before know its an on going battle to patch, nerf, fix the games we play. You deal with it, but I feel often people lose sight of what is real
Expectations in gaming are high, people feel it all has to work and have so much to do like Game X which has been patched, fixed, de bugged and years worth of Content on Day one

Defending anything about the game gets you labelled a fanboi, saying anything that casts doubt on the game labels you a Hater Drone

    Things come with time,
