accusations going around of sexual assault for tea-bagging in game, sexist comments being made, aimed at men. and the devs arent doing much about it. not being funny but these forums are just becoming ridiculously toxic and something should be done.

    No one did that.

Telling the truth is sexist? I'm sorry, but most criminals are men, you can see it in every crime statistic. Which doesn't mean all men are criminals. Which no one said, btw. The only thing someone wrote was that some "insecure young men" (that's a quote) show problematic behaviours sometimes. Why are you bothered by that? Honestly, I'm really wondering why you feel insulted by that and I don't? I know that that quote does not insult me in any way.

I noticed something, wolfbane your posts are typically "someone must...." "people are...". I mean it's pretty much hearsay, you say people are "saying/doing" no screen shots, nothing but rumor and gossip. And end up promoting this "alleged" bad behavior.
A question. When exactly did you get appointed Moral Arbitrator of the community?
Every time you point a finger, three are pointing back.
    Just some thoughts.

why can't people just erase labels and get along...

it's like racism, half of it exists cause we even label it...

Actually I'm not even going to bother to go further about this topic cause people will just be people. Just leave it the F out of my virtual world.

Thats a slippery slope you're on. Just a reminder that this exact logic was and still is used by bigots when talking about ethnic groups. "It's just a fact though". Not really. Causation and correlation are two very different things. Single layer analysis is utterly useless. It's one piece to a large puzzle and representing just one piece is misinformation and intentional deceit. For example, men are far more prone to anti-social disorders. Anti social disorders are the single biggest predictor of violent crime on an individual level. What is the cause? The gender or the disorder?

I mean this is gonna get locked quick but hopefully if you can take anything away from this is don't spreading bad single layer information and 1 to 1 conclusions.

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”

Edited my post for clarification. The whole point is: OP is obviously feeling insulted because someone wrote in his other thread that unfriendly behaviour in PvP occurs "naturally", as there are probably some young men around who feel insecure and have to act dominant for compensation. A well-known real life example was given. I'm really wondering where the scandal is? Some young guys act like Rambo to hide their insecurities. That's a common observation, no sexism. No one said "all young men" or even "all men". No one said it's because of their gender either. Actually it was a remark such as what I quoted from you here.

Literally every time I die in pvp, I get tbagged by someone. I don't mind it at all, just pointing out that everyone, myself included, acts that way some times. Everyone gets angry in pvp sometimes, and the people who never vent their anger by tbagging aren't necessarily nicer in my experience. Bottom line: There's toxic pvpers and there's pvpers that lie about being toxic. ^^
So the latter group of players will try to act all virtuous, and will claim to be outraged by the barbaric practice of tbagging. Some will go as far as to say it's should be considered sexual assault or a declared warcrime that's banned under Geneva convention. I'm sure they consider their activism on the forums to be their good deed of the day, and they believe it will firmly establish them within the community as people of unimpeachable moral character.
The former group, mainly comprised of edgy teenagers who are trying to act all callous and cool by embracing their own toxicity, will try to stir the pot by calling out the obvious hypocrisy of others and sharing their heroic tales of tbagging.
The derailing of the thread was inevitable.

I don't see what you want ZOS to do about it though. Unless you believe the mods should ban people for starting pointless discussions, the best they can do is lock toxic threads (which is what they did).
Btw I'm sure this discussion will meet a similar fate. So let's just grab some popcorn and enjoy the show, maybe earn a couple awesomes in the process.

I just dont think such a topic should be on the forums. it's not suitable. this is for game discussions, not things like sexual assault.

Yeah I was just pointing out that sometimes "it's just a fact" is intentionally misleading. Anywho this thread should be locked up soon anyway.

Meh... Sticks and stones... Some folks need to get a thicker skin. I take great delight in downing some PvP folk with my very much PvE orientated playstyle, however when I die in IC/Cyro(and die I do... A LOT) it really is nothing to get bent out of shape over 🤷‍♂️😁

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I think that group thinking is one of the problems. "Us against them". Labels. Prejudices. Lack of differentiation.

So let me be sure I'm getting this right, we have a PvPer on the forums because someone said something bad about them? Isn't one of the primary mantras of the PvP crowd to "grow a thicker skin"? :|

    Greetings all,

After review, we have decided to close this thread given the negative nature. When creating threads/posts, we ask that they be kept civil, constructive, and within the guidelines of the rules. Flaming, Trolling, and Baiting, are all violations of those guidelines, and are stated as follows:
    • Flaming: It’s okay to disagree and debate on the official ESO forums, but we do ask that you keep all disagreements civil, constructive, and on-topic. If a discussion gets heated and turns into a debate, remember that you should stick to debating the post and/or thread topic. It is never appropriate to resort to personal comments or jabs about those participating in the thread discussion.
    • Trolling or Baiting: The act of trolling is defined as something that is created for the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or to elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread, and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling, or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to the ESO Team, and leave it at that.
If there may be any questions in regards to the rules, please feel free to take a few moments to review them here.

    Thank you for your understanding,
    -Greg-
