You can preview the furnishings before purchase, but sometimes they do look quite different in the space than you had imagined. If you are dissatisfied with tour purchase, you should submit a ticket on their website requesting a refund. In the past, they have been very good about this and responded quickly too.

In your picture the lighting on them looks a little odd, they don't look like they should, maybe it's just not a good screenshot but you could try moving them to a different area with different lighting, might change how they look. Also if you rotate them the design is different on the side, you might prefer it.

When I looked at the preview I decided I would not buy the package as I had trouble seeing the creatures in the tanks and assumed they would be pretty much invisible in a dwelling. To me these represent an on going problem ZOS has with display type of furnishings. In their zealousness to make everything look ancient they stick to fogged glass that reflects light in such a way to always obscure what's behind it. While I'd like for them to give up on that style completely I don't see why they can't let the player decide by offering the option to place a clear glass or antique glass version of an object.

I tried all that Friend :)
the lighting in the room is solely from the tanks.
I can try a different location it makes little or no difference.
The funny thing was that when i placed them they were perfectly clear and i was so happy with the purchase.

Maybe adding extra external lighting will help.

pro tip: the creatures in the tanks can be seen clearly if you place them in the ceiling and look up, just like in the last fight of stone garden.

    I hear your words ! .

It makes me wonder if the ancient greeks never made their beds , or straightened a tablecloth , or knew how to stack folded linens.
This really impacts me personally because i have this thing in my head about neatness.

While Zos loves to indulge its own creativity , the way they impose it on us takes away our choices. A good example is the antiquities blacksmithing station . i love that thing and i hope they make more crafting stations available in this way,,

BUT i would never ever have it sitting on a bear rug, and to make it worse i cannot sink the rug into the floor or have even have the edges to close to another object because the station will not work!

Another bed bug for me , they have a working Solitude door YAY !! but no door frame for it BOO , and if we have have a solitude door why no Alinor door???? it cant be more effort than simply replacing the art.

The mind Boggles doesn't it? it makes me wonder sometimes what planet these guys come from.

This is why I really wished there was some kind of built in refund system we could use to return items. Give it like a 10-15-minute window to preview said item before it becomes a permanent purchase.

The preview is misleading sometimes. Plus, us console peasants have no test server we can use to preview items in the wild.

Stay safe and have fun :)

Yeah, as much as i WANT lab items and decorations, Zos is just pricing themselves out of a sale. Between the issues the game is having, the problems in the community, and some poor decisions with housing, they REALLY need to rethink their pricing.

I love the aesthetics to this set but realistically, it's just a series of vats that don't do anything other than sit there. The targeting dummy is cool but not much else can be done beside targeting it.

If these items had more interactivity, or there were more OF said items, or more items of this theme, i could understand such a high price but, again, that just isn't worth the money being asked.

NOTHING in the store really is.

Are they really making THAT much money off of whales or are they just desperate for cash and going about getting it in the worst ways possible? I was under the impression they were bought by Microsoft, not EA...

They were bought by Microsoft but the deal isn't expected to close till the second half of this year. So until then ZOS is still in the driver's seat.

Always preview first. I wasn't sure why they were labelled differently. I personally liked that you could not make out the difference between them, and still did not buy- but some will by preference still like them.

I've long had issue with ZOS's housing design choices, which drive me bonkers. Also, worse than that, is their penchant for making damn near everything dirty and blotchy and rumpled and weathered and worn, etc. Why can't we have nice stuff! I get absolutely incensed over the wrinkles in cloth, the blotches on clothes, the dirt on walls. OMG, the Linchal has so much blackened dirt/soot, whatever on the inside walls that I swear the building history included a fire at some point. There's so much I don't buy because I'm disgusted with its appearance for that reason.

After all the posts about the moldy walls in Potentate’s I laughed when I saw the Dwemer building’s white walls in the Reach had light green spots on them. Lol.

I guess the Aerie will have that but I hope it won’t be too bad.
