Things not proc'ing cc immunity

Was literally getting mid-air ping ponged by DK leaps last night.

Had one round where I took 2 bounces from leaps, stood up, got hit and broke free from a fossilize, only to be feared by a werewolf upon breaking free.


I'm guessing there are contributing factors? Anybody know what's up?

    Break free has been broken for years, either its not applying the CC immunity, or the CC immunity is doing nothing. We are supposed to get 7 whole seconds of CC immunity when breaking free.

    There is also an issue with getting two different types of CC effects on you that causes break free to be unusable, ex getting stunned and feared causes this.

    I've noticed some of that always having been prevalent. Some of it I just chalked up to the 7 seconds starting at the moment the effect lands, as opposed to the completion of the break free. Sometimes 7 seconds is a flash, sometimes its a lifetime.

    However, this patch seems to be the worst I've experienced in this aspect. Among others...

    Granted, I've only been playing since March. (ESO Covid-baby)

    In cyro lag causes you to feel unable to break free. so how it works ok follow along paying attention to the sequence.


    1) you see that you have been stunned or launched, you need to break free, problem is this happened nearly one WHOLE second ago after the data was sent to the master server calculated and sent to your client connection.

    So..

    2)During that one WHOLE second before you realized you needed to break free (which also took 0.5 seconds to realize it) So the guy has been able to already launch another skill and a light attack during this 1.5 second period where you are now just pressing your break free controls.

    So..

    3) Now you have pressed the break free and another dragonknight has already pressed his dragon leap controls, while it take nearly one WHOLE second for the message to break free to get from your client, to the master server, and then out to the newly launched dragonknights client, we have a total of 2.5 seconds have passed.

    So..

    4) while the dragonknight feels as though he nearly instantly jumped to you, taking .1 seconds, by the time the dk client sende the message to the master server and back to your client nearly another WHOLE second has passed.

    So..
    Finally) nearly 3.5 second have now passed, and your client has not yet received a message to have been broken free, you receive the message from the master server .1 seconds later, but the server has been counting milliseconds since THE MASTER SERVER has received the message that you started to break free, cool-downs are server authoritative, meaning it ONLY happens on the server, So now that the time has passed to get through this lag event, (obviously the long timers used are during a lag event) the server has counted your immunity cool-down in real time with no lag, because the server does not experience lag the way a client does, as the server is authoritative meaning things that happen on the server ARE the final answer.


    In short: The server doesn't have lag, just you.. (and me) so we receive our messages late, while the server has already counted your cool-down of immunity, you are simply late seeing it happen on your end, immunity was already gone and its coincidence that finally appears on your screen as you have been stun locked.

    While that is most likely a thing, and I actually factor that and typically accept that result in Cyrodiil, the most recent string of this I've been experiencing is in Battlegrounds. Which normally isn't as bad.

    Yeah break free should work better, but I can still use it to grab a relic in BG.

    BG lags too, sometimes its another skill spamming that has an affect on your results. There also may have been adjustments, since ALOT of mechanics have recently changed, however...

    suppose i am spam weaving polar wind and budding seeds with permafrost ult running while wearing undertakers, the amount of packets I alone am sending to the server with this tick tick ticking nightmare, could cause lag to the two dk's and unsuspecting stunee on the other side of the battleground.

    There's many other factors, but I do believe there is some cc immunity after break free, I have recently used it to grab relics, as always

    Also the DK leap has been pretty broken, maybe the leap itself is misperforming and not the break-free


    not long ago idropped leap from my pvp build because it wouldnt work at all in cyro, and it seems better now, so somthing has changed with the leap, idk wat

    Given how easy it is to sus out things like lag and being desync'd etc., this doesn't feel that way. Personally i'm leaning toward something with leap. Especially since it's the common denominator in the situations I'm experiencing.

    Could totally be wrong though.

    I haven't checked in a while but I thought they made it so cc immunity only worked against the player you broke free from.. so you don't get complete immunity just partial.

    Could be wrong though, but it seems in line with the zergs always win stupidity.
