Since many people play different platforms experience may vary of course so I’m curious.It took one year or more to acknowledge the problem and a full year of performance fix to get us where we are at in pvp.

✭✭✭✭✭I cannot think of a game where performance in PvP is better than what we experience in Cyrodiil. It is amazing and we should all be pleased with the experience we receive.0 -

FPS is pretty decent, never get lower than 80 with ultra settings and reshade on. But the server performance still garbage. And its will be unless they revert how calculations working. Server side calculation on such big map and such many players cant be optimized like it was on client side.0 -

✭✭✭Performance in pvp is still bad.I think its important to understand that this "Year of Perfomance" was really just pr talk for prepping the game for Stadia launch.
I dont belive for a minute that it was necessary to move so many calculations to server side, if it wasnt for the fact that they
had to massively reduce the amount resources the client uses for Stadia.
I dont think the devs wanted to have all the massive desync issues this caused, but had to stick to it due to Stadia.
At the end, pve overland quest crowd probably dont even notice many of the issues, the so-called performance fixes have brought.
The going theory is that the higher-ups already knew about the Microsoft merger possibly happening, and thus wanted to make the look as profitable as possible.
This meant putting the game on as many platforms for box purchase and crown store sales as possible.
I dont think the actual devs wanted the massive degradation in gameplay their "perfomance fixes" has brought, but its unlikely that they had a say in the matter.
Sadly , this is the reality we live in, where profits are above all else.7 -
Aznox✭✭✭✭✭Battleground performance is currently almost flawless. (All bugs aside : queue bugs, healthbar display bugs, crash to desktop, etc..)

✭✭Performance in pvp is still bad.I thought you guys were "refining" server performance back in 2017. Refining implies it's mostly good but just needs a bit of polishing.
How we went from that to the completely bungled mess we're in right now is just plain sad.
We don't even have a clear idea of their direction. At this point they are blindly flailing about with these tests and yet nothing gets improved and they actually manage to consistently make things worse.2 -

I mostly agree with this theory.
I believe any deal with Google(for stadia) would have been made by suits though. The developers were probably told this is happening... Make it work!0 -
