Sub50 pvp (BG´s): Damage over the top despite good defence values

Playing as a heavy armor stamsorc in ESO it feels somtimes despite good defence values that you die almost within just ONE STUN from which you cant get free and its impossible to recover anymore after such an attack by a single player who can dish out such damage values.

The defence values the character has in Battlegrounds do not remember on paper armor either:

~32k+ HP, ~22,000+ Resistance (with sorc buff) and farmed armor with almost 3100 impenetrable.

With such values the gameplay should look more interesting....

A lot of Magsorc's survival comes from spamming shields, Streak/Ball of Lightning, and if you still need more you can run Matriarch + Engine Guardian that can body block abilities for you. You don't necessarily need both shields but going light armour for the extra shield can potentially help more than the resists from heavy - but it certainly means more damage. Then you just stack magicka to make those shields bigger and you get more damage in the process.

Of course, everyone has a different style so what I just said isn't going to apply to all Magsorcs.

Of all the things I mentioned, though, Streak/Ball of Lightning is by far your greatest defense. Learn to use that well and you're unkillable.

What I said about Streak/Ball being one of your best defenses still stands. For stamina, a lot of people swear by a sword and shield backbar but personally I prefer a more active bow backbar for the speed on dodge rolls. Well-fitted gear is pretty strong right now and works pretty well on a Stamsorc - the whole class identity is speed so making those aspects cheaper is great in my opinion.

PVP in this game is all about positioning. Line of sight is by far your best defense. Defensive gear just allows you to push your boundaries a little further - you still need to use LOS when you're under pressure from multiple opponents. Right now, there's a lot of burst and procs so you should be spending as little time as possible in a vulnerable position. Get in, do you damage, get out. Luckily Stamsorc is one of the best classes for this. Don't greed after kills if it means charging into the enemy team and dying.

You clearly didn't even read that he is playing stamsorc....

But heavy armor alone isn't going to save you or make you a tank just act as more of a buffer from being in medium very ez for me to one combo people in heavy armor if they don't pay attention and use forms of active defense, block, roll when you need to LoS, counter CC etc.

But heavy armor alone isn't going to save you or make you a tank just act as more of a buffer from being in medium very ez for me to one combo people in heavy armor if they don't pay attention and use forms of active defense, block, roll when you need to LoS, counter CC etc.

u can use teleport. and buff up ur resistance a little further. whats ur sets ?

we are also dealing with sub 50. the lower the lvl the tankier u are from my exp. the mechanics are kinda weird and i dont rly get it. the question should be is he rly using gear close to his lvl. what color is his gear.

i lvled all my alts through bg and i have 18 from my experience for whatever reason the closer i got to lvl 50 the less i could tank.

i would give u advice but everyone has a different opinion and playstyle. u need the right build to take on multiple ppl without getting deleted in seconds. there are many good players making videos about stamsorc , that can teach u better than a wall of text in the forum.

You are generally getting weaker the higher your level is in below 50 PvP.
from 10 - 35 that is pretty much balanced out due to the skill and passive gain during leveling, but that just does not happen as much from 35 - 50 so youre generally just going to get weaker from that point, because you are not scaling as well (level 10s get way more extra ressources than level 40s).

So a level 10 with the same gear as a level 40 then the level 10 has WAY higher stats (meaning like 5k more of mag, stam, hp and more WD/SD). Thats why you feel like you can tank less at a higher level.

Around level 40 I generally switch to running normal dungeons for undaunted because of this. Definitely there is a diminishing returns point somewhere in there..

dude you said +22k resist.its nothing for pvp.we used 45k resist and still they kill us with a good combo.USE MORE DEFANSİVE SETS.-30k resist is nothing in pvp.if you are not a magsorc.if you dont want to die , you need +30k resist

dude you said +22k resist.its nothing for pvp.we used 45k resist and still they kill us with a good combo.USE MORE DEFANSİVE SETS.-30k resist is nothing in pvp.if you are not a magsorc.if you dont want to die , you need +30k resist

you know that resists are hardcapped at 33k? The only use you get by going over that hardcap is to counter enemies with a lot of penetration. So for 45k resists your enemy would need to have on average 12k pen to make it actually effective.
And while quite some people might crack that 12k pen the average certainly doesnt.

Also, especially in nonVet you really wont get to that high resistances, because you dont have the CP giving you extra resists (and you do not really need them because penetration is also lower).

From my experience in nonVet you can do really well with his defensive stats, if you somewhat know how to play the game.
(an extra 5k resistance would help ofc, but it isnt really necessary)
