Please Reset Dawnbreaker FAO: Devs

Noreik
Noreik
Hello Devs,

Dawnbreaker is a bit messed up now because all the forts are AD, but the Emperor has left or quit or something so there is no Emperor and no likelihood of getting one soon - to the disadvantage of AD players (faction buffs).

Obviously EP and DC are also at a disadvantage as they are pushed so far back.

My solution is to reset Dawnbreaker from scratch, announcing the date and time that it will be back up and go from there.

No-one will be losing out with this situation significantly (I'm AD btw) and will make Dawnbreaker a proper PVP zone again.

Thanks,
K

The emperor was dethroned when Mox passed his score. Mox didn't become emperor though because it appears we would have to lose those castles and retake them while he was there (?) Not sure about the last part.

The one highest on the leader board when all six E Keeps are taken becomes emperor, and they remain so until they lose all six E Keeps. It doesn't matter if someone else gets higher, or even if the old emperor leaves. For AD to crown a new emperor, they would need to lose, then retake each of those keeps.

The campaign essentially ended on day two of ninety. It needs to be reset, as it's currently a big, boring PvE zone. My guild, sadly, chose this as its home campaign.

We may switch. However, I don't know if the best solution to a broken campaign is for everyone to leave it.

Thats silly to ask for a reset. We chose the campaign. We chose to wreck the zone when we outnumbered them by a redic amount and now we farm easy skyshards and PvE quest quickly to level up so we can wreck the zone again after the campaign ends! I don't like questing in the actual PvE part of the world because apparently I get distracted by icons on a compass to easy and wander in circles just like I did in Skyrim too much. Also gear makes a difference outside of Cyrodil, gear makes practically no difference in the PvP zone which makes leveling so much easier since I don't have to bother with gearing up and repairs (which is probably kinda broken but ohwell).

Now the emperor leaving does suck and I'm not sure what they can do to fix that since the other 2 factions won't be capping anything back unless a crazy big guild decides to man up and actually try to fight us back. Maybe they should add a timer for the emperor and at the end the person with the most points gets promoted to solve the problem of people leaving/quiting/being inactive.

If you want out, they gave you plenty of ways to do it. Change your home campaign instantly, change it at the end of the campaign or use your guest OR join someone in another and just jump into theirs.

We have an Emperor! It didn't require losing and retaking those 6 Keeps. Also, Red and Blue were in motion when I left for work a few hours ago. We had lost 2 Keeps and they were working on another.

Ya, except for when the campaign ends nothing changes but the leaderboard. Keeps dont reset, nothing resets but the leaderboard.

How do you have an emperor?

I am not sure about the 'how' of it.

edit: I should mention that it is Mox, the guy highest on the Leaderboard.

I assume Fort Ash being taken and then retaken prompted it.

    Otherwise, I have no clue.

I am glad that it didn't require the loss and then capture of those 6 Keeps, because then you are left with a scenario where the future Emperor is trying to figure out a way to lose those castles so he can take them back.

Interesting, so maybe the campaign reset to no emperor conditions and retaking that keep counted as capturing the sixth keep. Like the mission boards, you don't get credit for already having them. The game requires you to complete the necessary condition to recognize the new emperor.

I think that you lose emperor when the circle is completely broken, and gain it when the circle is closed. So it was retake of ash that did it.

To lost Emperor-ship you either have to leave the campaign (move your home campaign or lose ALL six keeps. That is the only way you dethrone an Emperor.

In the result that the current Emperor leaves the next player with the highest score on that Alliance gets Emperor-ship as they become the leading scorer.

He's not the "highest" on the leaderboard, he's the highest for his "faction".

Overall Leaderboard Ranks overall as follows:
    1. Aidan - EP
    2. Kamy - EP
    3. Mox - AD
    4. Lucefer (Me) - EP

Just to show how AD as a whole are just numbers while the underpopulated EP are rocking. Oh and Aidan Kamy and I all group up together (we're from the same guild). I can;t count howmany times we where outnumbered and always come out alive and all we see are dead AD peeps on the floor ;)<3

EDIT: Mox is infact the current Emperor. A sad truth, his pvp skills is questionable

.... I always though that if emp quits... it goes to whomever is number 2.

I guess a solution would be to roll a rival faction (only need 10 man strike team)... take the 6 keeps (while guesting) and then it should be fixed. Of course this doesn't work if you have any other characters set as home on that server.
