The Return of the dreaded Combat Bug

Ever since Monday's drawn out maintenance I have been experiencing the dreaded combat bug in none other than the No CP campaign. A campaign I have played for some time now because of better performance. The combat bug was pretty much non existent before Monday's patch. Also been crashing to desk top a lot and have had several game freezes while traveling from one location to another. Whatever ZOS did Monday has messed things up yet again. Their servers are Ka Put.

With every maintenance they remove single ram stick from server, since it's already live in swap for 4 years, it's just became worse

There is a work around for it. Sheath your weapon, go into stealth, open crown store. When the crown store window pulls you out of stealth you will then have a short period of time to not be in combat. It is long enough to be able to mount or swap gear. This does not work 100% of the time, you may have to wait for about 1 min of using no skills or taking damage before trying it.

How about when a certain faction throws a certain number of player to a keep all >>
casting the same AOE.
Blink game crashes.
Don't blame Trump either, geeeez.

When I get the stuck in combat bug, sheathing the weapon is not an option.

Skills have been randomly locking up for me since Update 25, unable to sheath, crouch, use doors, loot dead creatures, etc. That I attribute to the blocking desynch they introduced. If it's a minor case, roll dodging will clear it. If it's a major case, nothing clears it other than camping out or /reloadui.

Since Update 27, I have the same issues as before, only they have added a new bug where neither of my gap closers work most of the time in IC (Lotus Fan and Stampede). But the other skills work.... sometimes.

So you're saying this is a ploy to get you to look at the Crown Store more often....checks out.

Yes, i have seen this, it is true, infact i have been stuck in combat now every time i play. it not only has returned, but seems to even be worse.
Zenimax, please fix this for us.
i do notice tho that i was able to travel and use wayshrines, but i still cannot use my mount nor any thing that being in combat disables, like changing skills and things like that.
very annoying, please please fix.

Exactly. I made a post in the bug report section.

It's far worse since the patch. If you hit someone that manages to leave away without dieing, you just stay in combat forever until he dies or zones out.

I'm tired of going from keep to keep by walking.

What is truly amazing is really not being spoken about any more but was when this bug first appeared long ago. Why can we not swap gear, mount, go into keeps, change siege or load it while in combat in the first place? Doing any of the aforementioned puts the player at a disadvantage to do while actively fighting but for some reason ZOS in the infinite wisdom has decided that is needed. But exactly why? What is it they are thinking will happen if you simply drop that entire group of code put in to keep those things from happening and callouts to server for checks on combat in those particular instances?

Asking this is like asking why cant we repair walls and doors if ground effects from enemies are on ground? Its taboo to ask why in the first place something like that would be instituted while we battle crippling lag with servers that appear to be incapable of handling all the callouts for these "NEEDED" things- its just no one knows why we need them.
