Bow cruelly lacks penetration?Even if I send a salvo of attack of some kind, I do very little damage with my NB bow, compared to the wizard in front of me who kills me in less than 2 or the big brute with a barbarian weapon authorized to dps...
I try a multitude of sets in addition to adding weapon damage on the jewels, but those always for a result most of the time mediocre, without forgetting this cursed support instead of killing, so confusing that to have results 3/4 of the time, you helped, you helped ...
For a while I manage to find something in the evening I surely face noob in front of me, because sometimes I manage to do some killing, but during the day it's almost impossible to have a satisfying result playing BG.
I wish I could play my *** archetype!
Do you manage to get out of it you archers players?

more damage than a two-handed gun. You sure about that?
In that case why when I play archer I don't dps as easily as when I play 'two hand weapon' this cheated weapon with a bonus of big heal...
without forgetting the first attack of the arc of an absolute slowness which is very harmful in BG!3 -

Ranged has always generally dealt less than melee as shown by the major differences in weapon power vs spell power, yet bows are an exception as they use weapon power.

claiming that bow users can kill other players in "2 shots" is simply false information, and is just not true.
it is obvious if you equip a bow you will see your damage go lower and do less damage output than any other weapon in eso. if you believe otherwise then give it a try.2 -

To the OP, Bow is stronk - it has 2 executes, Lethal Arrow and Laz0r-Pew-Pew-Ulti, use them to defeat your opponents!
(i know they are not real executes, but hey - they hit like one and people die. Guns don't kill people - bow kills people!)

Thats what op is talking about - outside of bush gabmkiung, bow line is barely playable on competitive level.

That's not a very good argument when the only reason you use bow backbar is the strength of Maelstrom Bow.
Maelstrom 2H with Stampede is only slightly lower DPS too
And is backbar, not frontbar. Because obviously 2H/DW are more damage, so you use them on front.2 -

Besides numbers crunching this comes down to design philosophy. Why should a ranged weapon be on par with the more risky melee alternatives? However, one could argue that certain bow skills need a change (in either way).0 -

I'm even starting to think that the weapons should have a branch system like the classes, so that everyone is allowed to play their favorite weapon with dignity, on their 2 bars !!!0 -

I use a 2h and bow stamcro and stamden on stream often - 2h is for rally and the bow is my damage bar with snipe, scatter shot into sub assault or blast bones is nasty and does more than enough. More a bgs build but yes how builds work - i plan to release stuff like that next patch and embrace the proc meta that zenimax is forcing upon people.Unified Gaming - creating a shared and Unified Gaming community.

This would be a valid complaint if any weapon or skill line, by itself, had it all in this game. The thing is, that's not the case. If you want to use bow/bow you can do it, but have to take the disadvantages of it, just like if I use two destro staves on a mag build in stead of destro-resto. That's simply how the game is designed.1 -
JinxxND✭✭✭✭If you are having trouble dealing damage with a bow you simple have a bad build as it's damage is really high and builds with hawk eye passives, you can hit me up in game on PC NA if you really think bow doesn't do much dmg and I can show you otherwise, the only negatives from the bow are it's defense which you should be getting from your class kit or with other weapons, you usually building around speed and kiting rather then tanking like any other stamina weaponEdited by JinxxND on 30 July 2020 19:48PC NA -

For stam there is already a system of choice since there are three different weapon lines (4 weapons when talking PvP). I do not see the need for more. Now magicka can use some love since the original justification for only having damage weapon is long past because damage focused class skills have stam morphs now.0 -
JinxxND✭✭✭✭The skill snipe has the highest TT for damage even higher then D swing, it has the only hard cc left in the game that is attached to direct damage that hits really hard, it has 2 really strong AoE damage abilities. I would say the weakest skill it has is poison inject because they nerfed skill dots throughout the game but is usually used to proc proc sets or with a master bow to increase dmg on a target if you think bow is weak you simple have a bad build or don't understand game mechanics and how to use a bow if anything it should be nerfed with skills like bombard and snipe as the damage is too high.PC NA -

Players who do the Titanborn / Blood Frenzy thing die very quickly indeed, if spotted. Or do they? I don't play this myself, but some players in IC make a living out of it and, as a whole, they seem to have figured out how to better escape and avoid damage over the past couple of months. A well-timed DK leap obviously still kills them instantly, but the damage from these builds is pretty disgusting and the Snipe cast time and travel time lends itself to creating burst combos [responding to earlier posts now]. Indeed the efficacy of bow in PvP has a lot to do with the Snipe delays, which can be exploited, for example, to land Silver Shards within the same GCD.I've always steered-clear of bow-NB as I usually prefer the 'in your face' style of combat. There may be a point in that bow is weak outside of specific builds / playstyles, but that's not so unusual. For example I used to play my stam DK as DW (main bar) / 2H for the longest time until recently switching to 2H / 1H+S. There are new DW possibilities, e.g. Master DW builds, which I haven't yet explored, but on the whole I have to say running without 1H+S on a melee stam DK gimps you and it's very hard to get away from 2H as the aggressive bar to go along with that. It's what the DK class nudges you towards, just as bow nudges you towards Snipe in PvP.
I guess you could view my DK example as also supporting the OP's point, since I don't play a bow DK, but I see it more as "there are specific build patterns" that work. If you want to be competitive in PvP, you tend to be shoehorned into on of those patterns. For bow PvP that happens to be Snipe builds.0 -

This simply isn’t true. It is very competitive. Just because some youtube or twitch lame hasn’t made a video about it, doesn’t mean it does not exist.
