Let's focus on how much we can do with the new options we've been given. I Want to know, what do you have planned for the pathing, guest visits, and new structural items?

What do you have planned for either of the new houses?

TELL ME, SPILL IT!!!

I want to turn the Alpine Gallery into a guild house, I think all of the platform/deck areas around the outside will make wonderful little "shops" for each crafting profession once they are built up a bit using the new structures, have each one be a unique little pavilion or shop that fits the craft, like the blacksmith will have a huge custom forge, with work tables (attuned crafting stations for ore popular sets) scattered around, the clothing station will have a cute little shop with sewing tables and maybe a kitten scampering around.

Hopefully they will up the furnishing limit to 700 and the guest number to 24 on it because it is huge!

The new structural furnishings, especially the roof, is going to go a long way towards allowing us to build really cool custom buildings! I'm so excited to try them out!

Moon Sugar Meadow will host every Khajiit guest I can get. Finally this place will be alive. They will move around the place. I'm also planning to make something interesting at Lucky Cat's Landing. It will host a tavern, a casino and a performance stage - I hope some day we will get dancers for houses.

As for structures - no specific plans, need to play with them on PTS. I think structures will give me tons of new ideas and opportunities.

I'm definitely going to buy Alpine Gallery. It will not be a gellery, but... well... we'll see!

The structural materials are going to help me refine some of the work I did in my Coven Cottage, and maybe I can skin some of those barrier walls that have bad textures.

Just the other day I was trying to figure out how to build a castle in Halls of Colossus using the Kaalgrontiid relief and pillars as a guide, so the materials are going to be perfect for that, too.

As for other plans. . . I don't know. Maybe I'll finally get Coldharbor Surreal Estate and build something there, until ZOS acquiesces to my demands for a home in the Crow's Wood. Hunter's Glade would be great for building on, were it available.

With the new building materials being more suited to the environment, I'll be re-building my house up top of Forgemaster in a more suitable colour scheme, closer to my original vision. Yay! Some of my other builds may get a much needed face lift too. :)

So excited to see homes come to life with pathing.

I am super jealous. I started the game too late to knab that house. A herd of horses galloping along a beach would be super cool. Daggerfalls is just too small, courtyard-wise, for that kind of activity

Regarding the guests, I will probably be disappointed over the crown cost they will likely have, so I end up doing nothing with them :(

The structures I'm very pleased with and will likely use them to finally get some plans I've struggled with done.

I likely go completely mad with the pathing. That pet get pathing, that one too, and that mount get a path, and the assistants. Everyone get pathing!
The insects flying around my bosmer's house will finally fly around!
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

I love the new structural furnishing and hoping the drop rate for them will be reasonable, unlike the solitiude recipes released with greymoor that are pretty much non-existent, with big guild having one - two blue patterns listed for 100k gold >.>

I played a bit with them on pts, and made a quick 350 slots - non eso plus half empty castle.
The entrance is smallish, because it started as regular house, but i got carried away lol.
On the ground floor there is big throne room with banquet hall and kitchen, then a stone staircase im especially proud of. On upper floor I made study/library, winter garden and bedroom.

Will be mainly waiters/maids, chefs and pets, if I get to acquire them, as I have a lot of bars/restaurants/inns that need staffing.

They look good, but I still wish we could have bought house guest slots and then made our own, rather than them being pre-made.

I had an idea for a Gordon Ramsey type angry chef, recently, for example and a friend suggested he should probably be an Orc, which seemed quite appropriate.

I'm looikng for empty boxes for cats to go in and out of. Nothing perfect has proven itself yet.
    • Both the generic/Rough and Clockwork City versions of open crates have grills inside that somewhat detract from idea.
    • I just discovered the empty soul gem box achievement item but haven't played with it; it's not my ideal shape anyway.
    • Baskets are another possibilitiy.
    • So would be constructing boxes from building materials.

Or we could just find papers for them to sit on and move among -- signed contracts, stacks of papers, antique maps, stuff like that.

An indrik-pulled sleigh flying through the sky would also be nice, but while the indriks can be easily provided, I have no useful ideas for the sleigh itself.

First, I expect the house guests to be priced very high so I will only be able to afford one, and that will be Biro-dar the Khajiit (the only one with a personality to speak of).

Also, I will have to remove a pet from every house, something I do not want to do, because of the lack of any additional special collectible slots. They really should make a few extra slots available to us, even for crowns. *shrug*.

Then my plan is to make Biro-dar do all sorts of ridiculous things, like walk through fake doors in a solid wall^ (although I have not actually tried that yet) and generally leave behind a trail of mayhem.

    That would please me.

    *works fine.

Dog zoomies when I walk in the house.

Spectral cat making an entrance by walking through a "wall", wandering around then walking out again through the wall.

Move my pond life around, but only short distances and with long loiter times at each node to allow time for the grazing animations to play out. A pity I can't move the scuttle bloom around as well.

    2ExWqem.jpg

I'm not sold on any of the house guests they've put on the PTS. I know they give us the worst stuff first but these are just a bit too bad to buy. I wouldn't want anyone like them in my home. Lets hope the house guests get better. An Igor-like lab assistant would be nice.
