Hunter’s Glade - And More Thief Houses

Hello there. I thought maybe I should start a new post for this.

I’d really like to see Hunter’s Glade come back soon for purchase, not only because the focus is (sort of) back on werewolves, but also because it’s one of the few homes that kind of work as a thieve’s den.

I think the new houses are all very lovely, but I’d like more small “caves” and medium-sized underground structures. Homes for the scoundrels and slightly more nefarious characters - without going full over-the-top gothic castle.

Something like a little section of the Ratway. A place to duck down into through a crack or disused sewer-grate. There could be a few of these, one in each major alliance city, and a few DLCs. Sort of like apartments, but a little bigger (a few rooms at least), and a much higher item limit (we gotta pile our loot after all).

To be honest, a lot of the zone-based crafting areas feel about the right size. (Some of the cave ones would make great homes). Same for the underground portion of Hunter’s Glade.

What would anyone else want from a thieve’s den type of home? And where would we want them? Secret entrances? Swinging bookcases? Unlawful moon sugar distilleries?

I ask for more shady and outlaw refuge-esque houses regularly, because we are lacking in them. We got the Thieves Oasis before, but that's a massive notable house. I also don't consider the Hunter's Glade thiefy. I can't ignore that sky, so it turns too daedric for thieves to me :p

    Here's a part of a list I've saved.
    • Smuggler's Cove
Who has walked around the cliffs, beaches and coves of Summetset's archipelago? I sure have. And one time when I walked aross some planks high above the ground to a Skyshard I couldn't stop think of how great it would be if there was a house area just like it. A small cave on a cliffside, high above the tideline, as the main room for you to hide and store your ill-gotten goods! Then lots of cliffs and ledges for all your wobbly bridges needs.
    • Underground Ayleid Ruin
Everyone from bandits, soldiers, scholars and daedra worshipper makes them their home. Why not us! Give us a small Ayleid ruin to make our own. With lovely welkynd stones lightning up the ancient stonework. Maybe have an option for those traps they always seem to be full of aswell.
    • Caves
Technically one of the oldest type of house! Bring us various cave to turn into our shelter. No matter if it were to be for thieves or mage guild researchers. Cold mountain ones with glimmering ice, desert ones with sandstorms howling outside, forest ones with streams of water running through etc.
    • Watchtower on a mountain
There is a lot of mountains on Tamriel in various locations. Everything from arid, to the snowy and cold, or the forest clad. All with a fantastic view. Could easily be turned into a nice house for a mage, a fort for soldiers, or a hideout for bandits.
    • A ship
Not a ship in a giant grotto, just a standard ship on some open water or slightly of a shore. Yo-***-*** and a bottle of rum.
    • Outlaws Refuges in general
I love 'em. I don't think there is one Outlaws Refuge I dislike and I'd love to have a house in a similar style to them. Forgotten cellars, sewers and cisterns. Hidden away alleys, shady markets and ruins with the hint that civilisation is just a stone's throw away.

Right now, I have to settle for turning the houses we have into these, which of course uses a lot of slots.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

All of those sound cool. I hope we get some sort of dark brotherhood Argonian home in Blackmarsh someday.

Agreed on all these. I’m less excited by free-standing buildings - because they don’t seem that hidden. Plus I’d like something more run down. Not sewer gross - but also not perfectly clean or well lit.

For Hunter’s glade I only consider the underground tower part as being appropriately thief-like. The glade itself I don’t much care for. (Aside from the permanent werewolf form buff when in the glade).
