Saved Variables getting randomly deleted.

Don't know why but ESO has been deleting its Saved Variables quite often recently. I have now replaced the Srendarr's Saved Variables file total of 7 times. I was lucky I had copy of my Srendarr file due to sending it to my friend and I copied the whole folder when my friend had lost all of the addon settings. Only 1 day later it happened to me too.

    Well well well
Things in ESO always comes back. Somehow fixed bugs magically reappear, while other bugs were fixed...

    and so does this:
Third time now, that somehow my WizzardWardrobe Variables are deleted, after ESO crashed.
Only thing helping I think is to create a backup of it, every time you close ESO ^^

but I really wonder, how ESO crashing is somehow messing with the addon variables. How is this functioning ....

When loaded the "saved variables" are held in memory. Changes to settings or additional data added isn't actually saved into the file on your PC/Machine until you either log out or quit.

If ESO crashes, it can sometimes have enough time to recognise the crash and save the addon variable file thereby updating, but sometimes it can't leaving any changes made or data added not be present in the file.

ESO itself can't "delete" the file. The user can and Minion can. So the issue may lie with Minion if you have it open while playing, or it could be that a crash is corrupting the file and deleting it because of the corruption, but that seems unlikely given ESO does not check the validity of saved variable files for addons. It either recognizes them or it doesn't. So the issue may lie within the addon istelf or the Operating System.

Your best bet is to contact the addon authors for the addons this is happening to and ask them about it. It may be something in the way they have setup the variables for different characters/accounts that could be overwriting the save with default values.
