PVP in eso would not collapse under the oppression of a magblade that can actually go toe to toe playing to one of their traditional strengths that has long since been lost. Magblades used to be able to fight around hots and sustain instead of relying on damage shields or playing a glass cannon cloak based build.
Cloak based magblades actually work right now, especial with vamp rework. Cloakless magblades have to commit a lot and lose damage just to sustain themselves if they are not trying to play a gank build.
I miss the days of good old attrition magblades where you are actually were afforded windows to outplay other players instead of being forced into these all in damage builds and still end up feeling like a poverty magsorc.
I'm seeing decent effectiveness on my nb healer in no co though.

It is hard to tell, as I don't see them (Nightblades, both mag & stam) any more. Sure, occasionally, there is one, but that is about it. I observed this trend both in PvE & PvP. It started being noticeable last year, after Elsweyr chapter, but after Greymoor ? I see very little of them (no pun intend). Pretty much only class I see nowadays is Sorc, Necro, Templar or Warden. Some times there is a DK, but NB seems to be the rearrest sight.
So I am unsure if NB simply don't use NB skills (so you can not tell what class they are), or people simply "mained" other class.
And tbh. I am not surprised. Class was gutted to the point of not being competitive, or even relevant. Its use was basically reduced to Bomb-blade AP farming during MYM event... (During event, because any decent player with even little bit of experience will be able to avoid it).
Also, it is worth mentioning that at this point pretty much all NB class relevant & unique stuff you can get on other class in form of weapon / guild / world skills. NB themselves seem to be using those instead of their class toolkit.
Vamp changes (sprint invisibility) seem to be the reason. I think what is happening is many experienced NB players simply switched to different class + vamp as only thing they lose is Shadow Image (but they gain other class toolkit, while still having access to sudo-nb skills (weapon / guild / world).
So umm... yeah, NB class (both mag & stam) in Greymoor is probably in a worse spot than it used to be in previous update.
