Summerset World Boss - B'Korgen

What the hell is the mechanic for this? This boss has huge shield, heals from orbs, and seems to regenerate that shield also.

    Looks like the shield is up as long as there are orbs and/or adds. Don't think anyone is gonna solo this one.

    its a stupid mechanic, theres no way its intended that it refreshes its shields every 6 seconds

    You can solo it. Just takes a really long time. I got him to 80% solo before other players finally showed up. Destro ult will usually take 1 or 2 percentage points of health from him.

    Just kidding. This guy has wiped 30 players with 100 running around him. I’ve no idea how you would beat him alone. These Summerset world bosses are vicious! It’s great. Bring some friends.

    I might be mistaken, but i think its one of the worldbosses that get harder the more players r around.
    Addspawns seem to be based on amount of players around, so if theres alot of players who cant carry their own weight, it gets insanely hard to kill him.

    The shield seems not absorbing all dmg, not quite sure yet, but it looks like it just eats the crit dmg portion.

    Imo its one of the easier worldbosses for soloing, he doesnt have a oneshot mechanic and generally does very low dmg. Will prolly take very long tho, even longer than gryphons.

    If he's anything like the karn public dungeon group boss (which I soloed without realizing), make sure to get as many orbs down while he's underground... Seems to work much better that way.

    I am so happy I'm not the only one who thinks of Billy Corgan with this boss.

    Those three annoying, rogue, Aedric dragon cousins of Alduin running amok in Elsweyr with their 16 million HP are BOSS.

    To say their HP bank account is OP would be a VAST understatement. I guess a couple two dozen or so adventurers wasting tons of time and resources fighting god mode world bosses (that can fly around the map at whim) is ZoS way of distracting the fan base from fact Elsweyr is so lacking in content (other than the MQ, vamp overhaul, and new non combat skill lines)

    Maybe invite some of those players from that thread where everyone is complaining that the game is too easy. Let’s see how they deal with this. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

    the wb's have become progressively more tedious with every addition.

    1. The orbs provide shield mechanic but then again the amount and spawn rate makes it very hard to deal with if you are only a few people. The shields end up regenerating faster than you can damage it. (excluding high tier dps and experienced people that can solo it)
    2. Additionally, the heavy attack triggers so fast that there is no point in telegraphing it. Normally you have to block to avoid the stun beam, but its virtually not possible unless you know exactly the timing. This imo is even more broken than the shield.

    And sure, you can overpower these shortcomings by brining more to the boss fight. I am not going to go into that discussion if that is intended experience or not, but relative to how other bosses feel, this one does feel extra challenging.

    Hi :smile:

    For the most part, the grievances in that thread refer to the solo adventure. Chapter quests, overland quests, delves, and POI combat interiors. Not group content such as world bosses.

    That being said, B'Korgen can be solo'd, but you need a different approach compared to most other bosses. Lots of AOE. You basically need to be doing substantial damage all around you for the whole fight. Most solo PvE builds can handle her, but likely need to be adjusted to deal more AOE damage to handle the orbs.

    She's tougher than most of the other Tank'n'Spank world bosses, but only requires a build adjustment to beat. Analyzing her mechanics and numbers and putting together a response is an acceptable challenge that can be overcome. This is how players do things like solo veteran hard-mode DLC dungeons. Just search on youtube "ESO SOLO VETERAN HM" and you'll find so much content.

    And frankly, once you're doing stuff like that, everything else in the solo adventure stops feeling like adversity by comparison. Starts to feel like a theme park tour where you wave prop swords at the bad guys and they fall over.

    To each their own, but to me, the difference in challenge and gameplay between solo and group content, along side the identical response (and sometimes, even rewards) from the narrative for overcoming that content, is extremely jarring and dissonant. So I'm excited to see what they have planned for addressing that.
