I’m no expert on magsorcs or the new patch but I’d think that would be a rather good build at the moment. Your resistances are right where they should be. It might be a good idea to change monster sets. I’d think pirate skeleton would be a good defensive choice since a magsorc probably relies more on streaking and bubbling than healing anyway. Obviously your resistances would be higher with the way the monster pieces used to be but... I’m assuming that’s exactly why you’re doing something else.
I wouldn’t go sword and shield if I were you. It looks like you’ve got a fair amount of stamina as most pvp chars should but you might immediately find it’s not enough if you start using it to block. Use an ice staff if that’s what you really wanna do. But, again, does blocking even help if the damage hits your bubble first??
Your spell damage and your recovery seem low which is concerning. I feel like this is your real problem. I know you are running a max mag build, and your damage is probably better than I’m imagining, but I would think about infusing some of your jewelry if I were you. For either one.
Resistances are good enough, if you want to play more defensively you can always run Ball of Lightning (assuming you are not running it already). What skills are you using btw?
As for the monster set i would run Engine Guardian, all 3 recoveries are great, and as a sorc you can turn that stam recovery into mag by using Dark Conversion if you don't need the stam.
Try S&B instead of resto, it makes you way tankier plus you can get some stamina back from heavy attacks.

I do not run Ball of lightning but ill try that instead of streak.

1. For S&B sets, do you recommend Potentates? or something else?
2. Please see below for my skills that i'm running with.
If i go pet-less i would add "Rapid Regen" and "Harness Magicka" instead of Twilight.
Sometimes i swap overload with shooting star. and i swap Fury with Elemental drain.
Oh, and don't forget to slot Critical Surge.
Also you won't need Endless fury, Frags hit pretty hard already.
Resistances should be around 18k-20k, shields arent as strong as the old days where you could hide behind it and not worry about resistances. Your shield will go down and you will get hit by a semi truck of damage thats where resistances come it for a secondary defense and you dont go splat after you get CC'd with your shields down. And typically 3k crit resist tends to be the gold standard in cp pvp. Spell recov is preference, if your comfortable at 1.6k cool, I've always try and stay 2k recov or a little below that.
Restro vs S&B...restro heavy you get more mag back but your vulnerable in that channel you could put a stam glyph or poision on it so you get stam back that way. But S&B is just better. The stam you get from HAs keeps you in the fight. When your pet goes down you can block and summon it.
For pet less your alternative abilities you said are good.

Thank you. i don't have greymoor but when I do get it, ill take a look at that new itemand will definitely buy some Tri-stat glyphs.
So, you would slot Critical surge instead of Fury? So ideally I would only have 3 attack skills? (Crystal Frag + Crushing shock + Curse)

+ Streak.
OR you could run the master destro + clench and change streak for ball of lightning, but that would force you to change your build. If you went for the master destro i guess the build could be something like this: 5 lich backbar, 5 crafty on body, master destro, Engine Guardian.
I'm doing this all in my head so i'm not sure about what numbers you would get. Try using this: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildEditor
