Cannot patch the game

So, as I sit here and waste valuable "free 30 days" time waiting for my launcher to patch, I thought I would ask if anyone else is having this problem.

When I attempt to connect to the game, I get one of 2 errors: "login error: 301" or "login timeout."

I've checked the FAQ, they basically said wait it out, or try patching the game. Turns out, I'm still playing 1.0.0 version of eso, and there seems to be no place for me to download the patch and install it myself. Is there somewhere that I can get this patch so I could finally play?

Same problem here, was able to log in and play yesterday, but have been unable today. The launcher itself is working fine, I just can't get past the log in screen. Each time I get either login timeout or Error 301, and it says I'm still running the 4/5 patch. Has ZOS just put the 4/12 patch online yet as a workaround for the people hitting 301 and 209 errors?

Update: Tried the hosts file workaround, did not work for me.

I just got a ticket back saying uninstall/reinstall. After doing that, I still can't patch it to the current patch. It also said "there is no way to patch manually". So it seems I'm screwed. DX

Do you have any antivirus or firewall programs that may be blocking the game or launcher's access to the internet? That's what it sounds like may be happening.

The hosts file workaround was for a different issue, and the cause of that issue has been fixed now so that won't work.
