UPDATE: Corrupted game that the launcher couldn't repair. Had to reinstall to fix it.

Certain skins/textures of objects disappear when I get close to them and like a strange bleeding affect of anything in front of the object. Seems to be mostly certain rocks but sometimes object like tents and shrines. I included a picture for reference. Not sure if it's an issue on my end or the game's as it only started happening after yesterdays server maintenance to fix the long load times and missing items.

Can a GM please confirm whether this is a issue on the server side or on my side and advise me on what steps I should take next to fix the problem. It's getting worse and affecting my ability to play the game.

Have you tried the obvious which is a repair from the launcher?

I'm not sure how to do that, I didn't see an option anywhere. Just the option to run a diagnostic which saved the result to a .txt doc.

EDIT: Ok I found it. I ran a repair and nothing happened. So out of desperation I put setting to low then back up to ultra and the objects got their textures back. HOWEVER they still doing that ghosting like affect and it's only on certain objects.

Now before you say its my graphics card I want to point out before the last server maintenance the game ran perfectly fine on ultra, no problems what so ever. Furthermore my graphics card is only peaking at 71C which according to XFX I shouldn't even start to get worried until 80+C. The graphics card I have is a 6870 which is just below the 6950 that is recommended under system requirements for max settings. I also ran a repair on my Catalyst drivers and made sure I still had the latest ones.

I dunno but I notice my frame rates went way down after that patch like solid 30-40 to 10-20fps. almost unplayable. not sure if its the lag or what. I have a gtx 570 its a bit older now but cost $400 a few years ago and has held up to everything and ran the game great at launch. not sure what they changed.

Well I got the stupid 209 error so I went ahead and spent several hours reinstalling the game. I'm sorry but this *** getting old Zenimax and your lack of response regarding player issues isn't feeling me with much confidence to be perfectly honest. Making it REALLY hard for me to defend your game as time goes on.

Always disable addons after a patch until they are updated or verified ok.

Have you tried changing the tessellation settings in your graphics card controller? Tessellation can effect how the graphics load as you get nearer to an object. Try changing it so that the application manages it.

No I've learn that long time ago thanks to my 7 years of WoW. Good suggestion though, thanks.

The reinstall fixed it, my original install must have been corrupted in a way the client couldn't fix. Thanks for the suggestion though.
