Dual Wield Templar

So far I have narrowed it down to the fact that I like dual wield, enjoy dual wield, but still trying to find that niche class wise for me. I came up with something like this:

http://esobuild.com/?AwblEYFYQOhkDMAuA7DAbJmAzBAjGAJiUMJgBMiBDEcYSegFnBgWAE5xzGyFH3CjSL2B5gjAByEgAA==

I really like Solar Barrage as a skill, an obviously you would want to alternate it's use with all other skills on the bar. I am a huge fan of no matter the build/class of keeping the resto staff in your back pocket.

Overall, The skills:
1. Luminous Shards - Provides a CC, AoE damage, and a nice refresher for those who stand in it's effect (Especially tank, but other melee users as well).

2. Solar Barrage- As stated earlier, I really like this skill and has nice synergy with dual wield. Well, really, it just has nice synergy for everything. I would imagine making this a staple before every skill cast.

3. Biting Jabs- Provides a CC and increased damage versus low health enemies, yes please.

4. Total Dark- I have heard scary good things about this skill. Basically turns the target into their own worse enemy.

5. Rapid Strikes- Probably my favorite dual wield attack. Obviously works nice to increase attack speed for heavy attacks with (my preference) dual daggers, but also dropping this skill then switching to resto staff will speed up magicka regen a good bit (I believe this will work, please correct me if I am wrong).

Ultimate - Crescent Sweep or Solar Disturbance - I'm torn between the two, which is why both are slotted. The way it is set up I may just keep it that way.

And obviously I'll use the resto staff to lighten the load on the healer in tight spots.

Gear wise I am thinking 5L/2M. Light pieces feed my Solar Barrage addiction and the medium pieces will provide enough boost to the use of my daggers.

Still working, still experimenting. If you see any issues or concerns, or have thoughts that pop into your own mind please feel free to share them.

Thanks!

(I didn't put all the points in everything to match what I have, just to make my bar match at minimum. All the DW passives are really nice.)

This is what I use for general purpose. It works well for aoe too, as I can take out groups of 6 quite fast. I occasionally swap to Rapid Strikes if I know I'm going to be fighting single target or bleed immunes. Whirlwind feels like an Execute skill that starts to work at <50%. I usually just go in, drop a magic aoe, follow with jabs or sweep, maybe drop another magic aoe and clean up with 2-3 whirlwinds.

For single target/mini bosses, I just go between jabs and blood craze. If you space out your jabs it'll double as a spell/attack interrupt so you can save your stamina for spamming blood craze and ww.

My stat ratio is 2:1:2, so I can have enough of both resources to play with.

This is something that I am kind of going with now myself, thanks for the post. It's great for soloing (a Solar Barraged Whirlwind is pretty wicked). I go 3:1:1 on my spread, because I do lean towards using my magic a bit more often, and I just started using Magelight yesterday as well (great with Biting Jabs and Solar Barrage, and Radial Sweep too I believe).

This how things are going for me as of now (Level 11, so not all the skills are morphed just yet):

(Yes I know, the weapons are backwards on this link).

Here is what I am shooting for, which will most likely evolve into something else later on:

I am torn between Radiant Aura and Luminous Shards. The way I look at it, if I focused a little more on my weapons I would definitely go with the aura for the stamina regeneration. I'm not necessarily a person who sits there and spams Rapid Strikes once I have dumped all my mana, I usually cast it once then follow up with heavy attacks and save the stamina for dodge and block situations (Yes, a DPS MUST know how to do this). Once I feel comfortable, I will probably start using it more times in succession, especially once my stamina count gets up there. So as far as shards go, I like the magicka regeneration it offers, especially in dire times where I can Rapid Strike into restoration staff heavy attacks and drop shards and any heals that may be needed, then switch back.

Explosive Charge -> Solar Barrage -> Whirling Blades does some serious hurt to the groups you take on. Then u just need a decent single target attack (I use Rapid Strikes but the long duration is making me think of switching to Silver Leash maybe?) to finish off the stragglers and a self heal (Rushed Ceremony - is Honor the Dead fixed yet?) to complete the action bar loadout.
I've been considering swapping out the single target attack and adding in Blazing Spear but I haven't felt the need for yet another AOE when I have 3 already on my bar.

That just seems like a lethal lawnmower right there. I'll have to try that once I get Charge to clear through some zones.

As far as Honor of the Dead goes It seems like they have fixed it, but I'll have to really pay attention next chance I get to see if it actually is working. As for the single target, I still prefer Biting Jabs since the single mob should still take the 100% damage increase.

Here I thought I was the first :P LOL I love Templar Dual Wep so far. I have been concentrating on the Spear line however. I think in the end I may have a bit of all 3, who knows. Early level it seems very fun to me. Weapon Stamina Burst damage skill, then a Cone Burst Magicka skill, a Ranged attack/pull, and on top of that a heal to boot. I am sure I am not going to be endgame ready like this, but its great utility so far and slices things like butter for quests and can get out of trouble with a heal if needed.

Maybe slightly off topic but does rapid strikes work as intended for you guys? Ever since I hit rank 2 with it it slows my attacks down instead when I use it
