@daedalusAI I agree. They'll be lucky if the game functions at all after their "improvements"

Follow the path of Final Fantasy 14. Have a team working on redoing the base code for the game and when it is almost viable take down this "1.0" version and launch the "2.0" "Realm Reborn" version on a completely new coding platform. The game sees longevity and still turns a massive profit.

That seems like a great idea, except the part where they code something. They seriously created a new dungeon finder from scratch, and this is the result. What makes you think that they have the base competencies in programming to redo the entire world? At a minimum, they've had chance after chance to prove they have some clue as to what they're doing in the creation of new lands like Summerset, Murkmire, Elsweyr, and re-create a functional version of a group finder and all of them have been a series of abject failures. But hey, instead of fixing the servers, or any of the numerous other bugs in the game, instead, we'll re-balance combat and add new zones to an already bugged game. How's that going for you? If the goal is to improve performance by driving players away from the game and thereby reduce server load, they're doing a wonderful job. I believe this weekend the game has been systematically DC'ing roughly 2/3 of the populace on all NA servers at random. I've never had framerates this good. Oops, DC'd again. Shucks

Yes, it was a stupid move to start this event despite the server problems.

But with the number of events this season, nobody will starve or suffer other harm due to one event being cancelled, either temporarily or permanently.

They admitted their mistake by cancelling the event. That's the first step to finding and implementing a solution.

Now, they need time to develop a good solution instead of a quick fix that'll break soon again anyhow.

In your opinion, how many years does a major game studio need to figure out a group finder that finds 4 people to run a dungeon?

agree SquawkTheMajestic the grouping tool / activity finder has been out since 2014, been broken ever since, how much more time do they actually need, how many more events are they going to cancel because of it.
