Hail to all, and well met! My guild and I are working together to start a contest of strength and will for fellow fighters of the Ebonheart Pact. This will be a challenge of daring, and wit, one of which that the Raven's and I would like to open to all after our first test amongst ourselves.
At the moment it is in a very rough draft, and will be held for the first time this coming weekend, starting
Friday the 19th and will end Sunday the 20th. What the hunt is about is competing with other groups of players to complete hunting tasks, such as taking out certain world boss mobs, or clearing certain group dungeons as a team, and completing as many of these tasks as possible before the end of the weekend with that same team. We are running an Role play test of this starting this weekend with just my guild, but I would like to offer other role playing guilds the opportunity to pit their strength and will with the fighters in mine following this weekend.
- The hunt begins in Davon's Watch in Stonefall, the 18th at 8:00PM (CST), all groups wishing to participate must meet up at the Stables to receive their tasks and to mark time for the beginning of the grand hunt.
- Each guild would need to select four players to team up together and represent their group for the competition. My own guild will only have four members in their own group as well to participate.
- Guild leadership and officers are not allowed to participate as contestant, but they are allowed to help keep tally of each task completed. (*)
- The level recommendations for each participant is at least level 25 and need to group with like-levels to be fair. Veterans will be in a separate contest at a later date. (*) (*)
- Each task will be specific to your group's level range in difficulty, each group will have a different task assigned to them through the officers and leadership, and each task MUST be agreed upon by the officers of each guild represented.
- Tallys will be taken each day, and each group will have their own name to specify which from the other. Part of the goal of this is honesty and trust with your fellow Pact members. I will be asking for members and fellow players participating to play fairly, and honestly. (*) (*) (*)
- By sunday of the weekends hunt, the final tally will be taken at 10pm (central US time.) and results will be submitted to the thread.
- The winners of the event will acquire an RP title that will be competed for in the following hunts, winners each week will have turn to obtain this title, and the former winners will have to win again in order to keep said title for themselves. This doesn't sound like much, but being called Grand Huntsmen/woman So-and-So is sort of a big deal in-character and I'd like to share this with others to participate with after this weekend and make it something of an RP community tradition among all guilds of the Pact.
- Further questions about allowances of members from other factions depends entirely on if another guild leader of that faction is willing to stick to the same rules, and play as honestly and fairly as this event is intended to be for EP.
- PM's are welcome. I'll be happy to reply to them as I receive them. Thank you, and I hope that Ebonheart Pact likes this idea.
(*) Any guilds caught cheating, or padding tally numbers will be publically disqualified from joining another Grand Hunt. Be fair, play honest.
(*) (*)
Veterans will need to wait to see how this plays out for the first and second runs, I would like to have them participating if at all possible, but like-level groups will be difficult to arrange with veteran's and I am uncertain how many will take interest in this event.
(*) (*) (*) Part of the goal of this RP event is to help build inter-guild connections with other role play groups, and to help boost morale and trust with each of our united Pact members. I will be putting into place a no-tolerance rule for people antagonizing fights, disrupting role playing, and cheating.
Any groups caught doing this while attending this event will be terminated from attending again.Other guilds wishing to use this for their own personal advertisement, recruitment, or just making connections with other groups are more than welcome to attend, if not participate themselves. I want to help build the community's connections to one another, and this event is intended to do just that. Other faction guilds are more than welcome to take this idea for themselves for use, but please do not forget it's origins.Thank you again for reading, and great hunting to you all!
