Extremely Slow Download Speed

So, I've been downloading the EU version of the game for 8 hours now and I'm getting download speeds below 100kb/s, despite the fact that I can download at 1,1mb/s. Is this normal?
I've looked at pretty much every possibility that the problem is on my side I can think of. I have neither firewall nor anti-virus software running, and I'm not connected via a router. I've also confirmed my download speed with speedtest. Have I missed something?
It's pretty ridicules if I'm going to have to wait for several days to play a game I paid for simply because of poorly designed software or insufficient server capacity.

Socratic✭✭✭Maybe your ISP have temporarily throttled your network, check by downloading something else and see if the speeds improved. Either that or it's their problem and then there's nothing you can do.0
