Pet sorcs do not deserve the nerf

For a longest time pet sorcs were unwanted class flavor because pets were buggy, caused all sorts of issues and did not output any viable DPS. For once in Wrathstone and Elsweyr patches petsorc became a viable competitive DPS option. Why does it need to be nerfed back to oblivion? Petsorc already underperforms in DPS as compared to stamina necro. Why does it need to be nerfed even more?
In addition what does not make sense to me is in previous patch course was taken to align DOTs to comparable duration and DPS output across the classes to make rotations more convenient. Now sorcs liquid lightning gets nerfed out of the blue. Why?
This patch looks like complete 180 degree turn from the course that previous patch was taking. Where is the promised passives rework? Why the nerf fest again?

✭I don't agree with across the board nerfs but petsorc is overperforming compared to other magicka DPS on the live servers and this isn't really something that can be disputed. The disparity on target dummies only increases in trials as a large portion of a petsorc's outgoing dps is basically automatic in the form of pet attacks, with the matriarch being ~10% of a petsorc's dps.Gryphon Heart

✭@ecru dusparity on a target dummy mostly due to petsorcs innate vulnerability applied via shock damage. If you backbar shock enchant on any other class - there's not so much disparity. I have magplar and petsorc, my magplar parses higher with shock enchant on a back bar.
And none of the magicka DPS is anywhere near to stamcro parses anyway. So they get nerfed even further to completely kill off magicka dps in trials?6 -

Such as? I would love for non-pet magsorc to be viable but as it stands the dps is bottom of the barrel and it's not like they've buffed anything there.3 -

to be honest a lot of the nerfs seem erm…. drastic especially the werewolf one, but I would say don't worry, it is only PTS, it may get toned down before it hits live1 -
Ulfgarde✭✭✭✭✭Because in pvp and especially duels, half of your damage was from pet damage, and the pet did most of your pressure with Daedric Prey. They buffed some of sorc's burst and added more damage options so now you have to, you know, press buttons to do damage rather than AFK and spam shields.

Need to be tested out if sorc without these is in a good spot tho, only time will tell.I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.0 -

✭I don't run both pets and don't stack shields. I use streak that got buffed. So as always ZOS didn't fix pvp issues yet broken pve.1 -
