The fact is, theres really not many who are dissatisfied. Just a tiny vocal minority on these forums.
If I was wrong, the 7 day population would be growing. That's it's not is all the answer needed.
@Kel
On PC/EU you'll find more players inside imperial city than on the 7-day campaign. And that's not even an exaggeration.
And even if a few friends gathered on that campaign, what would they do?
Sure, some 4v4 is fun, but for how long?
I can probably convince a few friends to play the 7 day campaign, but I can't force others to come (people play 30 day because it's populated).
If you want people to play the 7 day campaigns, you need to add some unique rewards that can't be acquired somewhere else than on the 7 d (or something similar)
Unless you've some magick formula on how to suddenly make a campaign that's been dead for 2+ years alive (and I mean making them pop locked, not going there with 10 friends), please feel free to share how.

according to your logic:
why did'nt you just leave vivec when you were not able to deal with all the spies and disruptors?
Many say "but it is war". Well, war HAS spies and sabotage. So even if it is detesting, those bad guys added realism to the gameplay.
You could have run away, simply populating the empty campaigns, but you decided instead to ask for a "solution" that cripples gameplay for others.
Cripples a very few, judging by the lack of campaign movement.
And I'll take fair over realism in a video game anyday. Who in thier right mind wouldn't? Especially when it comes to killing other players.
Stupidest argument ever

it disturbed very few, according to the movement before the lock.

You did not answer my question, why you did not simply switched to an own campaign.

Makes no sense because IC is now separated from Cyrodiil.
How do you make a dead campaign populated? You gather up all who are supposedly dissatisfied with fraction lock, and play there. Put the word out.
Instead of bitching about the locked campaign, start a movement to move to an unlocked one. Show Zos you're right by numbers.
Because numbers talk...a few of the same people bitching on a forum isn't going to cut it.
Why would I move? Toxicity is down, spying is nonexistent so far, no scroll BS.
I'm happy...no need to move...

No, I asked why you did not move BEFORE asking for a faction lock.
You wrote that it is so easy to switch a campaign if you are not happy with the current one. So why was this no option for you?
You avoid to answer, this indicates that you demand something that you would not be willing to do yourself.
Instead, you complained (in your own words: "bitched around").

I love how everyone says the 7 day UNLOCKED campaign is dead, like that's somehow a justification of why faction lock doesn't work and isn't wanted..when the opposite is true.
The point is, if more people cared about the unlocked campaign as some in these forums claim, it WOULD be populated. If you, and all the friends say you have who complain about not being able to play together would move, the 7 day campaign would be booming. The fact that it's not shows more players either enjoy the lock, even if you don't personally, or players care more about end of campaign rewards then playing with friends. Either way, pointing to a unlocked campaign being dead where you can play how you want as some justification actually hurts your argument. If that's what the majority wanted, people would be there. Full stop.
I do agree, a lot of these issues could be solved with a one time faction change. Zos absolutely dropped the ball on that one.
7days campaigns were also dead before alliance Lock. So, what you want to proof Herr?
They wouldn't be dead if all you people complaining would move there. That's the point y'all are willingly ignoring.
What does anything before locking have to do with it? Now the lock is in place, logic would dictate you move to the place that allows you the freedom you say you want.

You might want to switch to the other non locked campaign though so you can enjoy your eso. Don't let the door hit you on the way out though.

This is well said and pretty much end of debate.
If you have such a large number of dissatisfied people regarding this lock than go show it by playing 7-day thing.
Sad truth that you are just drop in the ocean and 95% people have welcomed the change.
Personally have not met anyone who has been dissatisfied. Except this msg board ofcourse.
Instead of whining and beating the dead horse go play non-faction locked campaigns or simply just shut up.
Simple isn't it.

You guys still bring up the 7days Argument like its the solution to everything. It is not.
The PvP Community in general is simply not big enough to fill 2 CP campaigns. So No one will enter a less populated campaign If they can get more action on the populated one...

I just want to play the game. On all my characters at all times, its too late to re introduce this once weve all made different alliance characters. Or atleast give me 1 or 2 aliance change tokens.
You can play the game. On one faction per month. Alliance change tokens would be nice, true; ask ZOS for that, instead of asking them to change the way faction locks work. Faction locks were reintroduced for a reason.
Its a stupid idea, most people just want to fight and have a laugh with their friends. Why am i bieng restricted i dont care about spying and keep flipping whatever. This cuts me off from half of my game and its not ok.
Actualy no, their was a poll about it and 70% voted yes for faction lock.
It's a loud minority, that creates and bumps all these threads about how bad faction lock is. Probably the same kind of people snatching scrolls, and running them the wrong way, chaining people into keeps, and that spends time in alliance area chat, making it very toxic and unfriendly.
One of the BEST things about faction lock, is that I don't have to see AD/DC trolls in area chat anymore, spreading a toxic atmosphere, bullying people, writing racist and other inappropriate things just to bait people, and keep them from playing. I have been victim of this several times because I live in northern Sweden, so they think I'm a Saami (it's like believing you are Native American, because you come from America, really).
I can't see anything negative about this so far. Now I just wish for the "elite" of AD and DC to actually start playing the game, and stop tower farming and so on, so that the game becomes a bit more competitive. Winning a campaign by +30k because enemies doesn't play objective, is pretty stupid. What are you gonna do with that AP of yours?
You play on PC EU ? The campaign score depends on who can pvdoor and hold most keeps/scrolls during off peak hours. The times where all factions are locked have very little impact on the score compared to EP's nightcap and AD's morningcap some months ago.
Edit:
I still see scrolltrolling and toxic stuff in chat. Hasn't gone anywhere on the 30 day cp campaign atleast even with the locks.

But you won’t be able to earn 50 transmutation stones for hardly any effort at all! Woe! Whatever will you do?!
Jokes aside, thanks for confirming what the anti-lock folks don’t want to acknowledge.I can also attest to the fact that the 7 day campaign is not “dead” (though I haven’t played on it since Elsweyr dropped). One of my guilds actually spent an entire month in Shor a little while back to take a break from the toxicity in Vivec’s zone chat, which was caused by a small number of AP-boosting multi-factional players who thought they owned the map and made things miserable for all of us. We had no trouble finding good fights in Shor at any time of the day.
Sadly, as has become increasingly apparent, a lot of this outrage is “justified” by claims that the 7 day campaign is dead, blah blah blah, when that isn’t actually the case at all. It’s all about the loss of those easy rewards...

I'm quite sure ZOS themselves can see how low the population is no the 7 day campaigns. But ye writing a few words on the forums claiming it isn't sure will fool then.
Also, faction loyalists cried in a similar way to get this lock.
Complaining seems to be the way to get stuff done around here, so we will whine loudly until they get rid of this nonsense that is faction lock.

the faction locks comes from the cheats and exploits and the ability to do those things is blocked by the faction locks.
i support faction locks, as do many.
talking about cheats and exploits and explaining them is against the forum rules. you can get warnings and bans from doing that.
you can still play on your alliance and other alliances, just wait till the campaign ends to do it.
What cheating and what exploits are you even talking about? Maybe it's just me but I play pvp all the time, and not once have I cared about spying or whatever you guys are complaining about regarding faction lock. Because it does not solve anything. If alliances want to pass around scrolls guess what faction lock won't solve that. Reintroducing faction lock was the stupidest idea.

The population numbers in the 7-day campaign have always been lower compared to the 30-day. No one disputes that. It’s hardly “dead,” though.
We had valid reasons for wanting faction locks to return. What are your reasons for wanting them gone, besides the tired old “I want to play with friends” schtick that can be resolved by playing on the 7-day campaign? If you’re upset about lesser rewards, I’d encourage you to petition ZOS for buffs to Transmutation stone gains in the 7-day campaign or elsewhere.

If you want people to play the 7 day campaigns, you need to add some unique rewards that can't be acquired somewhere else than on the 7 d (or something similar)

Ummm... so when you buy the game, you want people to have to choose the Faction their game supports? Before even knowing anything about the game? And you can only create characters in that Faction on that account?
Might be a couple peeps who have an issue with this idea.
