Did you do your initial login on your “loser alliance” character? If so, that’s on you. Something to remember for next campaign, unless ZOS decides to change the way it works.

Again, it was never stated you would be permanently locked to your faction anywhere in the initial faction lock post, how is that on anyone?
@ZOS_BrianWheeler , I sincerely hope you guys don’t listen to the very vocal minority of players who don’t like faction locks. The general consensus seems to be that those of us who are loyal to our alliances and play Cyrodiil as intended are largely in favour of the return of faction locks. There has been MUCH less trolling griefing since the locks were reintroduced. Zone is no longer filled with toxic reds and blues trash talking and trying to flood chat to distract/displace call-outs. I also haven’t seen anyone selling emp and scrolls in zone since the change was implemented either, nor have I seen any reds or blues bragging in chat about how they’ve “bought” the campaign.
Thanks for listening to our concerns about faction hopping and the impact it was having on campaign outcomes.
PS : If I sum all my chars...

Seems pretty odd to me that someone would log in on a character they had zero intention of playing that campaign, even without the warning. Erring on the side of caution is always advisable when something new is implemented or reintroduced. If I had any interest in faction hopping, I would have gotten to login screen after the campaign reset, thought to myself “hmm, maybe if I log in to the character I was playing all last campaign I’ll get locked into that faction, since I know home campaigns don’t automatically reset” and would have logged into another character, instead of going “hurr durr, campaigns just reset and I want to switch alliances, lemme log into that character in the loser alliance that I have no intention of supporting this campaign.”

Just remember the day before the campaign ends to log any characters you have in Cyrodiil anywhere else at the end of your session? Collect your reward the next day, then switch factions? This reminds me of when my parents stopped brushing my teeth for me when I was 4 and made me do it myself. At first I thought that atrocity was unacceptable; then I adapted, and learned to brush my own teeth and the world was right side up again.

You guys didn't test this before releasing it, did you?
sure sure, you pay for a service. anyone with plus pays for a service, that service isnt pvp "your way" the service is some extra xp, a generous amount of crowns, all dlc, some extra space for some stuff, and an infinite crafting bag. im confused how your service isn't being rendered other than a game dev working on game mechanics to keep people from exploiting faction rewards. we all pay for the same base game, we all pay for the same plus membership, and nowhere in your reoccurring subscription does it say they must provide us pvp our way to make us happy. like honestly stop and think about it, @ZOS_BrianWheeler and his team ARE fixing something, fixing things don't happen the first try.

Clever mechanic? The game is dead. What benefit does making entering PvP harder help the dwindling community? PC NA is so dead when I logged on, I logged into Cyrodil today because there is never a queue. Since I logged into Cyro I immediately forfeited my right to switch factions at the 30 day mark. Bud its not a clever mechanic, it's ZOS being ZOS.

@ZOS_BrianWheeler
Can we get an update on this. It has been 4 months so we can all hope Zos has been able to make some progress on such a major oversight.
