I am nit sure on that, but from my understand. If you get it cured you will not be able to get it again with that character. So, think about it before you rush off and do it.

Whats the disadvantage? Fire-resist you is not an issue you can soft cap it with a ring / enchant...right?

For me the advantage is better than the drawback, sure you gotta feed every now and then to keep away from the drawbacks of the later vampirism ranks.

But the fire weakness can be fixed with rings.

how do you even get a ring you can add enchantments on.
