Some thoughts about ESO being in the Second Age of Tamriel:

So, I'm a big TES fan. But, I've never taken much time to really put the story together. So, I did some research.

Apparently, ESO takes place in the Second Age. Essentially, in the timeline of things - whatever takes place during this game, is taking place after the events of Morrowind, but before Oblivion and Skyrim. And in the Third Age (Oblivion), there is one person who is important: Tiber Septim... who will later be known in Skyrim as Talos, the Dragonborn. And, we can assume that by "dragonborn" it is referring to the father of all creation itself - Akatosh.

Anyway, the thing is, Talos rose to power at the end of the Second Age, or if you will, ESO's era. Seeing as there is some serious stuff going on with the Emperor and being a Dragonborn, essentially what is going on is currently, there is a fake Dragonborn in a place of power at the moment (Manimarco) and is doing the bidding of Molag Bal, who is only trying to do what Dagoth Ur before him tried to do. And it appears to me that the only person who is capable of stopping this is a true Dragonborn: enter Talos/Tiber Septim. Which leads me to a conclusion:

The hero of our age (of ESO) will rise out of the Ebonheart Pact and will be of Nordic descent.

This seems about right to me, but I may have made some serious mistakes in the timeline and of the facts. So don't take this to heart.

Hmmm... well, that's fine. That doesn't really change any of this concerning Tiber Septim. I just made a mistake on that. But you're right.

Sorry to dash your hopes, but ESO is still 300 years too early for Tiber Septim to be in it. ESO takes place in 2E 582, Tiber Septim was born in 2E 828.

Tiber Septim will never make an appearance because that would mean they were taking the servers offline. If he shows up, that means the PvP is over since he will put the Empire back together and you can say goodbye to Cyrodill content.

All will come to pass as they are supposed to.
