My experienced guess would be 250 or 400 each but there will most likely be no communication on it until we see it live.

+ I was simply hoping they were going to add an "all zones" option... wishful thinking though.

More likely going to be in-line with Outfit Slot's cost at 1500.

I was soooo hoping for this.

    As someone who:
    - Has all Skyshards and skill points possible on my main
    - Has 14 and soon at least 16 characters
    - Obtained about 30% of skyshards with other characters
    - Did the Mages Guild 6 times
    - Did the Psijic line 9 times
    - Leveled all crafting to 50 on most of my characters

I was hoping that all skyshards would cost about 30% per character.

There's a breakpoint for me at which I won't buy if it's too ludicrous. At 30$ per character, that would be a chunk of change but I'd probably afford it. Any higher and I'm out of the skyshard purchasing game...

As for those who say that's p2w, I'd make them realize that it is situational. I've done so much legwork to get to where I am that farming for skyshard will take my enjoyment of the game away again (I've had the blues a few times).

I just hope the achivements are not cost-prohibitive....

I'm guessing it'll be around 1000 to 1500 crowns per region. At that price point the whales will jump right in a buy them. But most of us will find it too expensive to buy more than a few regions that skyshards are to get at, (ie Cryodiil)

Cyrodiil would be the one i’d pay for at a reasonable price. It took me months of patiently waiting to get my achievement. I was so close many times. Once I was racing towards the gate and it closed and my mount hit the gate. A friend was right in front of me and barely made it in before it closed. Per zone is going to be costly. I’ll hunt down the rest.

I hope that's the case, but do we even know from the PTS the sort of packages that will be available and what conditions will apply so far as eligibility is concerned? Is it limited to the ones already unlocked by a character on your account? Is it conditional on all skyshards being unlocked by a character on your account? Can a PvE player who's never been to Cyrodiil pay to unlock the skyshards there (I hope not)?

This sort of issue usually poses more questions than it answers!

Not the first time I see this guess. I for one hope it is almost 10 times cheaper. I like the other user who said he hopes it's priced as a convenience and not a luxury.

You have about 26 zones of which 8 or 9 are small/medium. By your guess, it would cost more than 30k crowns to get a toon finished whereas my hope for 100-150 Crowns per zone would cost around 3300-3600 Crowns per character.

At 30k Crowns per, I'm buying none. At 3-3.5k per character, I'm buying 14 and a lot will do the same.

    So the question becomes:

Do you sell to a handful of whales something at 300$ a pop or sell to a VERY LARGE user-base at 30-35$ a pop?

Think also of the fact that some that also wanted to play on another server (EU or NA) might be even more likely to grind on the other server and skyshards being easily accessible will make some users pay TWICE.

It's a question of accessibility to the masses and willingness to pay. I think they stand to make more cash by making it more accessible.

Are you saying $30 per character for all the skyshards? Or do you mean per zone?

Because if you mean all the skyshards, I think you are going way too low.

Consider this: What dollar amount would you put on the time it takes to collect all the skyshards on a character? The amount ZOS will charge will likely be higher than that, because they already stated they don't want to devalue time spent playing.

I believe that only applies to the zones covered by Tamriel Skyshard Hunter, so DLCs are not included. But I have not checked the PTS.

My guess is if you have the achievement for one of the zones, you can buy that zone on other characters.

Every zone is bought separately (Cyrodiil is split into 3, one for each alliance) and you need to have the corresponding achievement on at least one of your characters.
There's no option to buy all at once, probably because new ones get added with each new zone.

Depending on ZOS's philosophy regarding whether players should primarily get skyshards in game, (250 crown Event Tickets), and their marketing price point data, (1500 crown outfit slot per character), I expect 1500+ per zone, possibly as high as 4000, with small zones half price and Cyrodiil triple the base price point.

Again, a matter of willingness to pay. It takes 5 minutes per small zone and 20-30 per large zones. If you don't consider the gated skyshards in Cyrodiil, I could probably collect all skyshards in 10-12 hours.

Now this is a hobby so you can't affix an hourly rate similar to your wage. There's also the fact that I won't spend 10-12 hours per character to get them, I will quit the game WAYYYY before.

Consider the cost of a game now, it's 50-60$. At 30$ per character with 14 to pruchase the achievement on, I'm paying the equivalent of 7 brand new AAA games.

As an opportunity cost, I'll put my money Elsweyr. I did the achievements and did the multiple grinds for the different skill lines on many characters, It nearly took me out of the game, had to stop and go play something else because I just wasn't having fun. That also has to be factored in.

I think you have to also attach a $ value to a skill point.

A skill point is worth about 0.20-0.25 cents to me. At that price, we easily reach 35$+, I don't think it's unreasonable.

At 1.5k Crowns per zone, it's over for me lol. The dream dies forever......

Plus, the business people are only responding to player demand. If players were prepared to put in the time and effort to achieve everything in the game - the key to which is not being rushed so that you consider it to be a grind - then there would really only be the utility things like extra character slots that the company could monetise.

It's like crates. Players complained about them, and then moaned when they were removed from the daily rewards. Always be careful what you wish for  !

I'm way too cheap and lazy to be buying skyshards by zone. Let me buy the skyshards I own off my main toon (all of them) and I'm cool. I'd pay at the most $50. Anything more you can beat it ZOS. It becomes tricky territory past that and like the above mentioned, I'd rather pay for a new game. Grinding the same things over and over and over is mind numbing after years of playing ESO and tbh I'm over it already lol. Played on xbox for years, transferred to PC and restarted my toon from scratch. Yes it's an MMO but the repetition is getting to me. Especially the psijic skill line, I would rather pick up dog crap with my bare hands if I could avoid having to do that again.

The cost will be your soul, which the Vestige may not want to pay again after going to the trouble to recover it.

In reality, likely your entire bank account if you want all shards from all zones. I predict more than a notable home when all is said and done, so well over $150 USD? If it's less, I will be shocked.

One outflit slot, for one character, is 1500 crowns. Even after a thread with over 50+ pages, ZoS still hasn't changed the price. I highly doubt that they will go lower than 1000 crowns per zone.

I would imagine that they price it at 100 crowns per skyshard, so certain areas are more expensive than others.
