They ran into issues?, Good excuse, there is hundreds of issues/exploits and cheats going on in ESO but when i log back in they are always still present.
Want players to spoon feed you the issues, document with videos so that you feed the software coder to fix. Wrong mindset. I already said, multiple times, pay me 10k crowns for every exploit i show you and game would be much better.
Pay for the game. Subscribe for years and years and somehow the player is expected to pay ZOS for the privilege to document exploits in shabby coding that has little to no QA before releasing. Wrong mindset.
Continued patience?, that ran out around 4 years ago for me @ZOS_GinaBruno
I agree, the playerbase got lazy too by adopting exploits ZOS qualified as "acceptable" mistakes.
Get rid of AC , group proc bombing etc and you'll see a big improvement in the game's overall performance...
But , lets not talk bout bugs and what ZOS cant be bothered to fix..or we will get the undercover
PR hamsters and chimps chastise us for yelling out loud we want a harder game ^^ lol
Getting rid of CP calculations would improve performance probably...but that is another fight for another day...
Why do not you earn some CP?
I sleep soundly knowing that every single person complaining in this thread and others could up and stop playing the game, and the rest of us would continue on in peace with absolutely no dent in the ESO bottom line. Things would continue just fine without you. Vocal minority, you're not fooling me.
Do you pay Eso Plus every month?
If not, without people like myself, this game would die ...because we spend cash to
keep this game running.
So while I agree there is a lot of complaining , I believe that I , we (all of the playerbase)
are entitled to a quality service , while not asking for perfection, the basics should be covered
and so far ZOS doesnt fix even half the issues bothering all of us..if almost anything at all.
And when you say no dent in the Eso bottom line, you are actually wrong...
The more the paying playerbase dissolves, the more this game will ressemble
EQ or ...well, ZOS could turn things around and do like Aeria Games....
Turn a descent game and lock it behind a cash paywall...
But you are welcome to voice objections, just dont bash a playerbase
that might be keeping Zos' ar@# afloat.
No dinero = no Eso, its that simple.
I do, and have for years. I also spend an inordinate amount of money on crowns and crates - haters will see he's part of the problem.
My point is that, I don't think the people making trolly posts and whining about extending the event and event tickets...
Not sure if thats what you mean but i can asure you my post is not intended as a "trolly post" what so ever.
This is a well meant complained, and even more after the extension ofcourse.

I think this whole thing has gotten out of hand. I get the maintenance is long. But.. the question is, why is it such a big issue?
I mean there are other things in life that can be done, other games to be played. Heck, catch up on your favorite Youtuber, Twitch or whatevers content. Call your family and have a nice conversation, go to lunch with friends, family... go to the park.
There are plenty of other things to do that can make the time go by really fast. To be honest, not rude, you DID say you bought ESO + the day before this and had no idea. This does fall on you not checking stuff if you were that concerned.
Lesson learned I hope? Check forums and such beforehand.
I agree that next time its better to check forum if there is a large maint coming just in the days i liked to play.
But its just post trolling when people come into a post thats a complaint about a long maintenance time and tell that person stuff they could do in the meanwhile.
Not directing this to you but more in general.
I dont see the value that would add that to the conversation.
Its just a cheap way to comment out of it.
Please remind me, when was the last time that google, YouTube, Twitch, Twitter or reddit had an 11 hour down time and/or weekly maintenance for several hours?anitajoneb17_ESO wrote: »The video game industry is ahead of everyone else in terms of technical complexity in digital technologies "for the masses". Profession as in literally any other job out there. Dealing with people's lives for example, if you make an error, you pay for it. Clearly someone has messed something up hence the extension, therefore should be held accountable. If people can't advance along with such "advanced services" then we shouldn't really be using/applying them. All games have downtime I'm fully aware, been playing MMO's for nearly 20 years but for such a small scale patch we have a very long downtime. If it were an expansion etc I would get it, but not a 166mb patch, or whatever size it is.

YouTube, Twitch and all those other service providers you mention offer services that, in terms of technical difficulty, are literally nothing as compared to tens of thousands of players evolving in one virtual huge 3D world together in real time.
I never played GW or GW2 but I'm ready to bet that if I go on their forums, people do complain about downtimes there, too. Every MMO community complains about downtimes.Profession as in literally any other job out there. Dealing with people's lives for example, if you make an error, you pay for it. If the videogame industry would play everything safe, avoid risks and never endure bugs or downtime, we'd all still be playing Pong here. They've taken the whole digital and internet technologies ahead for 40 years - and still do, and they do it because they can afford it - it's only a game. Of course, technologies dealing with people's lives (medical software, etc.) cannot take such risks. But video games can.

If all the things in the Patch Notes really got fixed, I'm ok with the down time. It would be nice to know what happened to extend it but that won't happen.

If you believe that, i have a bridge to sell you....
Remember those maintenances to "fix group finder" or "solve Cyrodil lag" ?
I suspect it's the joke excuse when tech service just want a paid afternoon at the bar ....
