As player from Europe I don´t know what to say, when some of you say things like "it´s ok, lets go make some breakfast first"...it´s ignorance, arrogance or pure stupidity? How many times you have had maintenance, even prolonged, to your daytime? This game is great, after those 5 years (I play since beta with few pauses) it´s evolved in somethis the most enjoyable in many other MMOs, but still, after those five years we Europeans are still *** up with maintenance. ( I have 6PM here.)
EDIT: and BOOM!!! After post comment maintenance is extended for 3 hours?! So, today I thought "Uhmm, perhaps I should log on today". Was greeted with maintenance. I opened up Google, typed in "eso maintenance", hit Enter, and boom, the link to this thread was third result and is today's topic!
Anyway I wanted to check the timeframe of the maintenance, but got so annoyed by this topic that I had to reset my forum password to be able to sign in and share my opinion about this pointless whining.
You don't point on other games and say they do maintenances in less time! I don't care, they should take as much time as needed. ESO is such game that I don't even feel the obligation to log on everyday as some other games make me.
Finally, if I say Gordon Ramsay makes me a dinner in 15 minutes, then do I want to eat a dinner that YOU make me in 15 minutes? Probably not.1 -

WoW had weekly 6 hour maintenance, that could often be extended to 8 hours, and sometimes longer.It is perhaps unintended... I see a lot of these posts have the word 'wow' in it. I recall a different time when a different MMO had a Tuesday 8 hour maintenance. Every week. No matter what.
I feel like I have flashbacked (flashed back? meh) to 2008.

Well that's a flat-out lie.
ESO doesn't have maintenance every week, generally every 2-3 weeks (although sometimes we'll go for a whole month between maintenances). Most of the time that maintenance is closer to 4 hours than to 8. This is a significantly longer maintenance than normal - this happens maybe every couple of months.
So weekly guaranteed 6 hour maintenance, and often 8 hours or even longer is vastly more often than in ESO.

And also about the maintenance times here with eso,in my experience in the 2 years i played on and off,it is more a regular then a rare occasion that the maintenance are extremely long.
Hard to imagine its exactly everytime when i play eso that there are such long downtimes.
Must be a regular thing.

Hardly :-) I have 2 feathers, 4 tickets. 3 months after Morrowind launch I´ve quit and came back two or three weeks befor Jester festival, so :-)
