WoW had weekly 6 hour maintenance, that could often be extended to 8 hours, and sometimes longer.It is perhaps unintended... I see a lot of these posts have the word 'wow' in it. I recall a different time when a different MMO had a Tuesday 8 hour maintenance. Every week. No matter what.
I feel like I have flashbacked (flashed back? meh) to 2008.

I also have League of Legends and PUBG installed atm,but i liked to play something else in the 4 days i am off from work now.
I cleaned my place,walked the dog,prepared diner and been sitting on the balcony with a cold beer and enjoying my joint,
and commenting this forum from my phone not my pc.
But tbh i get a bit anoyed by people telling me what to do with my time when i come complain about a ridicolous long maintenance.
This isnt directed to you but in general,its the second time i made this remark in a comment here in my post,
but i mean that and hope you dont feel "atacked" by that.
Its just my opinion.

Try Pathfinder kingmaker awesome game and super long around 100-150h for each playthrough if you do everything and has nearly 10+ endings or so0 -

Servers take a lot of work to keep running smooth and ESO has not had the most stable servers at times, so if this helps it helps but nothing is perfect. Still I gotta jet here to make breakfast, so you take care and I was just making a suggestion. Still don't know how anyone can like battle royale games, RPG's are the way to go that is just me. You pick your own poison, also how do you not find LoL's community highly toxic? I left that game because of all the Jackholes on it when you made even on little mistake. Regardless not feeling attacked, just woke up and dealing with severe allergies, so I got worse to deal with and I am outta green.1 -

Well that's a flat-out lie.
ESO doesn't have maintenance every week, generally every 2-3 weeks (although sometimes we'll go for a whole month between maintenances). Most of the time that maintenance is closer to 4 hours than to 8. This is a significantly longer maintenance than normal - this happens maybe every couple of months.
So weekly guaranteed 6 hour maintenance, and often 8 hours or even longer is vastly more often than in ESO.

I just stick to my rpg's I am a very narrow focused niche gamer, outside of rpg's few franchises perk my interest and very few even engage me. If a game has no plot, or is a mindless grind like MOBA's and BR games are... They have zero interest to me, besides Fartnite is causing my nephew to go into some very bad behavior and well..... Lowers my opinion of Battle Royale even more to the point I'd like the game banned. Just my two cents, rather than deal with the toxic as hell LoL community I said goodbye and I was doing pretty well with Soraka.0 -

Still I avoid the toxic communities but it's this getting angry over things you can't control leading to issues of Fartnite kids getting their computers taken away because their acting so horribly. Frankly I'll stick to my rpg's and my certain shooter franchises, a game needs to have plot and depth and not just mindless grinding.0 -
