So why the wait? Is it because of the Americans?
Did you give them your daily playtime when they were planning the event? If not, I don't see how you can complain.
If you read what I actually wrote, you will see I was not complaining. Merely wondering what the delay is.
Since the game is split between 2 mega servers (EU & US) why not begin the event sooner on the EU server so we are not all waiting about?
This is actually a good point. Why can't the 2 mega servers have different event time starts? You can't trade anything between the servers anyway so it shouldn't affect either.
The same point can be made about everything. Maintenance and more. However, OP does not articulate his thoughts well in the OP of this thread. It comes off more about them just wanting it to start early more than anything.
Everyone else seemed to understand just fine. Perhaps it's just you? The points were extended further as the discussion progressed. Maybe read more posts in the thread.
LOL Some have clearly read into what you posted. However, a well written OP wanted to suggest that the EU servers have even start times more inline with their time zones would have actually stated something more specific along those lines. So please do not try to start a petty argument because of the wording you chose.

The wait is because Zenimax is an American company, and the event will begin when it's morning in the USA.
I finished some crafting writs yesterday to turn in after the event begins, just to get ahead a little bit.
