Too Early to Judge

I find it unfortunate that so many players only come on here to complain and judge the game before it has a chance to mature. Screaming for nerfs barely a week into it's release. (Generally because of one bad experience and a couple things things they don't really know about the way combat works in ESO.) There is so much good with the Alliance Wars and the PVP in general and I think that is being overlooked. Like the full destructibility of the keeps, the everyone stealth system, and the area to roam so you can avoid the large groups of enemies.

My biggest worry currently is that the devs will get heavy handed and nerf/buff things before the game has really settled down. (This has happened in many pvp games leading to problems later on as the game matures) I feel without waiting for a few weeks for people to gear up and play in Cryidill for a bit. Any changes to the PVP this early may cause major issues down the road. Especially from a balancing perspective.

So instead of all the things wrong with PVP lets fill this thread with what people have been enjoying/ loving about Cryidill.

I love that my group of 9 people can cause so much havoc that groups of 30+ some to take us out.
I love that those 9 people can lock down a choke point and prevent forces from getting to the front lines.
I love hitting back lines and cutting transport/respawn points without needing 40 people.

Small group play will be insane in the months to come.

I really love that dying actually means something because you can't get back into combat within 30 seconds to a minute (the biggest problem I had with GW2). I actually get an adrenaline rush when I enter combat in this game because I know it'll suck to die. That hasn't happened for me since DAoC. (Does anyone remember 15 minute portal ceremonies? Although maybe a bit extreme at this point, there's a soft spot in my heart for standing on that pad waiting to get back into PvP, with all my realmmates who unfortunately just died, chatting about getting back at the other realms once we port.)

I love the scale of things and the persistent aspect of Cyrodiil. This is the first MMO since DAoC that I can recall that has PvP that doesn't feel like an afterthought nor like a FPS in the guise of an MMO.

While it is early days I feel that round one of campaigns are a bit of a mess, but I am a little optimistic in believing they will sort themselves out round two
But as any experienced MMOer knows there will be issues, there will be those who will join the server where their faction is dominating and those who will change to the winning side instead of fighting for their current team
A few things could be fine tuned, but hopefully as people get more experience in the game they learn to handle it better and change out of the mindset of how other games do things and adapt to how things are done here
The game will develop, but how much will be up to the players and whether they are willing to let it grow and grow with it, or do what they are used to doing and complaining when the results are different because it’s a different game
Gamers cry for difference, but when something different comes along little or small gamers cry that it should be like some other game that is still active and apparently so good they would never go back to playing it, or its too much like something that they complain it needs to be different to what they know

Let the game grow and fine tune, and hopefully gamers will do the same
