MOST REQUESTED REQUEST: Dynamic Balance System (Sign)

Quoting someone:

"Really what needs to happen is dynamic caps need to be placed on Cyrodill. So to start there's 100 soft cap on all 3 sides. AD reaches 100, DC has 30, EP has 50. Until the total of DC and EP reaches 100 combined, AD is locked. When that opens up it goes up by another 50 (150) and they must face a combined 150 for it to unlock again. This would go for any faction. This way there's a chance for both sides to team up against the third and overly populated factions get inspired to spread out more amongst the servers instead of just piling onto specific campaigns and dominating them."

The crazy thought is I also thought of the EXACT same thing. This makes TOTAL sense and should not be very hard for the engineering team to implement.

FOLKS PLEASE SIGN and spread the word. Together let's get this request exposed to the top. They will listen...

No. Elder scrolls is about freedom of choice. By doing what you suggest you are taking choices away from players. And it doesnt solve imbalance issues at all, just makes them more complicated.

You don't get it, there's choice! you can join the "other"campaign just not the overcrowded one. We can't keep promoting unbalanced population it's not healthy. We need to close those off and you CAN still choose that same faction just you would have to use a more fair un-locked campaign that allows you to

And what if players want to run with friends or their guild? This idea is just bad.

We already have server that are population locked for specific emperors at night.. Dawnbreaker, Bloodthorn, Wabbajack and Airuel's Bow on all factions. Yet the most common thing I see is more people flocking to those servers... knowing there are times that it's already capped.

I'm not sure a barrier system like that would work that well. Especially at the suggested thresholds.. 100 cap and increasing 50 as population levels out sounds amazing, but I seriously doubt it would work without pissing off more players than it would help.

What happens if your home server is on one of those softcaps? Just wait and hope more people come to your server so you can log in? Spend 15,000 AP every 12 hours so you can actually PvP when you want to instead of having to wait? Play on a guest server and pray that you can bounce into your home server if you catch that small window that it's open if you play on the dominant faction?

"IF" they did a system like that they better allow you to queue for your home server and allow you to play on a guest until your home server has room for you. Otherwise I don't see it ever working.

They need to have their population imbalance system in that allows lower population alliances the ability to gain some ground even when vastly out numbered. That was the system they were supposed to be working on that is still yet to come.

Then the other one can compensate and move together to one that allows you both to join that faction which happens to be way lop-sided originally, right? that's why this system works :) it's not hard to join up a friend. You both join a campaign where that faction is open. The backend does its thing and you will not notice.
