Your Bugs Are Preventing Me From Making Progress

First there is the quest to close the rifts in Greenshade which directly prevents me from a) getting the achievement for quests in that zone and b) prevents me from getting the skill point for that faction story quest.

Now I am in Coldharbour and because the quest at the ship graveyard is bugged, I cannot go and get the 16th and last skyshard in this zone. More precisely, the quest is called "A Graveyard of Ships" and the quest bugs out when trying to defend the Khajiit guy from waves of skeletons (the waves show up, but then he just sits around with his thumbs up his arse doing nothing).

How about a hotfix for these progression-halting bugs sooner than later.

Thank you.

I just move on and come back later or go quest/skyshard hunting in cyrodill if there isn't any level appropriate quests left.

At a certain point you can't. I just tried to do my final main story quest before getting into veteran content and it bugged out on me. I'm off doing dungeons right now with some guildies, but right now my level of anger/disappointment at being potentially blocked from going into vet content is very, very high.

Ah that sucks, hope that gets sorted. But for your own sanity, I would suggest finding something else to keep yourself occupied until they respond to your ticket/fix the bug. Also, is that quest bugged for everyone? or is it one of the spawning bugs that you can check back later for?

I would have to agreed i myself and other of my guildies are done these quests with no problems, you might want to relog to fix phasing issues or go cool down in PvP or something and come back, I just did this quest ur talking about this morning and it was fine, I would think its a phasing issue relog, submit a ticket and come back, you also might want to throw this in the customer service forum to get it elevated and not here. :)

I went through the same BS as you the past few days. First I couldnt talk to the Groundskeeper, now I have to wait on a Khajit that can't open a bloody door.

And to the above posters, if you aren't having the same issue, then I really don't care what you have to say. Or maybe you are having the same issue and you're here posting to "help occupy your time," as you put it.

I canceled my, what should've been a 6 month sub because of "this".
I have 5 PvE quests in my journal. 2 from the previous zone. All 5 are bugged.
I went to a T2 dungeon, EH, it was bugged.
Then I went to another dungeon in the 20-23 range, it was bugged.
That's it pretty much. I'm really tired of the bugs.
You know what happened to all the MMOs that were released unfinished? F2P or dead and gone.
I'm not paying to play a beta. I can't give a half-finished product to a customer and demand full price. I'm a software developer myself and I know it's no easy task especially at that scale. But honestly I have my own software development and bugs to take care of and really can't be bothered to deal with additional problems your product creates for me.

I'm quite sure this will be a fun game once it's finished but right now it's a pain in the butt and annoying as hell. All you see in zonechat lately are question if certain quests are bugged. It creates an uneasy feeling, is it me? Is the quest bugged? It's not a question of if you'll meet a bug but when the next bug with surface.

    Very disappointed.

Considering I remember how full of bugs WoW was on first release, this stuff really seems fairly innocuous. I'm waiting on several quests at the moment due to problems being able to interact with objectives, and it does make me mad as hell, but at the same time, I'm hardly declaring the game terrible and underdone because of it. At least I can actually get onto a server without constant queues and crashing all over the joint.

I understand @Daruq's "uneasy feeling." I've had quite a few stuck quests, and when I keep running into them it's discouraging and I don't want to begin a new quest chain in case I get stuck again. The quests are very well written, it's a compelling world, and that makes it even more obvious when it's broken.

The answer "Just go do other things for a while" is very reasonable and wise for people encountering their first few issues, but eventually, after many bugs, it sounds patronizing. This isn't a beta or early access. We don't need the explanation about too many players or other things out of our control, as we're not the programmers or beta testers. I know we can compare it favourably to other MMOs and other launches, but that's overcomplicating it too. We're end-product consumers of *this* game, and these quests just need to be fixed.

The thing is that they are not able to do much else in pve as you are "done" with the pve game at that point and that is what is bothering me a lot, in other zones you could skip a progress quest and (like retaking the path) head to the next zone and all is well, but they can't head into VR content as they have to finish the normal game first.

I am also currently stuck at Crossing The Chasm and feel really bothered by that, there is just nothin else what I want to do in this game then finish the main story and head into VR content and I can't.

And for Latekin, yes WoW had its bugs, but I had never encountered a progress blocking bug. And those are the ingame bugs that have to be fixed first and foremost.

I don't see how a skill point and a sky-shard are progression stopping.
