Maintenance for the week of February 23:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – February 23, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – February 23, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST)
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – February 23, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)

Okay, what gives? Servers.

Decided to spend a few hours on NA today, and looked past the higher ping displayed.

Despite the ping, the game is more responsive, load screens are massively faster, and in all it's just a more pleasant experience. (The wider lack of Russian/German/French in chat was a big plus too...)

I'm starting to think I should play on NA. Performance just seems better, and I'm a night gamer anyway, so I play during US prime time.

Has anyone else made a similar observation?

FWIW I'm in the UK, in case that's important.

I have such awful ping (satellite is my only connection available, so ping is 2000+ ms at all times....) I've never been able to get logged into the EU server, so no idea. I have a friend in Texas who plays on both servers over her mobile data link, and for her for some reason, EU ping is generally lower by a bit than NA ping.

A few people in guilds or on my friends list are playing from the UK and they think the US server works better for them. They didn't much care for having to start over though.

Fortunately, I only have 27 hours on the game. And only a third of that on a character I took seriously.

For me, starting over isn't an issue. Mostly because I have barely started.

I have the same experience from scandinavia. Higher ping, so animation canceling is trickier, but the servers are more responsive (less delay on abilities) in Cyrodiil. Dungeons can be a bit more choppy on NA for me though.

I did a post on this a while back saying I live in UK and Na server is better performance for me in every area.
I play both Na and Eu servers and Na is consistently better.

Any doubt that was in my mind is now gone.

Cutting my losses and switching to NA permanently.

Fortunately I don't have much invested on the game.

    It's certainly worth checking out.

Obviously I only speak for myself, but in my case NA performance is genuinely better overall.

They really, really, need to implement server transfer capability between NA and EU.

    Exactly the same here mate.

I'm just gonna' start reading 200 as good lol, because in practical terms it is.

I'm on EU serv now, i die in 1v7, why ? Cause i took some damage after i used my shield, but that damage hit my health and not my shields, so i die with 8k shield by 7 players without oblivion damage :D
