Also Argonian and Breton because I love counter builds and tanks, but Dunmer lore is incredibly amazing. Oh and pyromancers are my only favorite DPS build in games where instakill in and out assassins don't exist, especially if the pyromancer is melee range.
Started in the normal way of "I like dark elves" when I was younger, but the more TES games I played the more I came to love and enjoy the Dunmer lore and prefer them to typical Drow.
They also always seemed to mesh with the style of gameplay I like in TES games which is Nightblade, stealth and magic.

Oh, my.
It truly is a sad time when one can no longer even make the old and tired "Tamriel N'wah Map" joke without getting censored...
Oh, well.
Guess I will just have to remember that is somehow now "baiting" instead of a weak attempt to amuse and entertain people while making fun of the in-character fluff dunmer arrogance...
Uncle Sheo will be sooo disappointed...
Love:
Dunmers: One of the greatest lore I have ever read in game!
Nords: Vikings in Tamriel, they wake up to eat and drink, than they brawl, than they go drink some more, they go hunt and than they eat, drink, sing, work hard in harsh cold land, best human race in Tamriel.
Khajiit: I like cats Their lore about how many different subspecies exist and why is awesome and well thought.
Hate:
Orcs - as I was raised on W40k and Warhammer Fantasy I cannot stomach Orcs in any game (Die Greenskins!)
Altmers - Thalmor enough said, they wanna either get rid of mankind ormake slaves out of them, honestly they feel 2 much like nazist ...
Bosmers - Cannibals...
Neutral:
Argonians - I feel them being angry cause of being enslaved for a long long time however they are not exactly "saints" either, try to enter Black Marsh (just for a visit) and you can wake up to see throats of your party members being cut. Not to mention they send loads of members to Dark Brotherhood...
Imperials - Honestly no opinion about them, they tried to conquer whole Tamriel however they lacked power to do so, during oblivion crisis they pulled out their forces leaving for example Morrowind Province alone to defend themselves even though they knew they didn't have that much military power but I guess it was all for the sake of preserving crumbling empire
Bretons: ye kinda never got into them, maybe cause they are reminding me of Medieval Europe 2 much and I have never been that much of a maniac about knighthood.
The Snow Elves messed up attacking them and now they are pretty much extinct.
Being a Seafarer myself as my career, I took into their history of them being Seafarers so I already had that connection.
I mean who doesnt like Vikings? Uhtred Ragnarsson? Ragnar Lothbrok? Some bad ass Vikings on TV.
What's really awesome about Nords, battle is a glorious way to die. Sovenguarde awaits those of us Nords who die with a sword in their hand.
Redguards are my #2 followed by Argonian at #3 and Wood Elf at #4
I hate Altmer's superiority complex's, Dummer's history doesn't entice me, Orcs are cool but are just deformed Elves that were pooped out (Bethesda dropped the ball on their history) and Khajiit looks cool but I am dog person and I hate how they talk.
Bretons and Imperials are boring to play but I have no feelings towards either of them.
Even though the eating meat and not eating plants thing is a little weird, I'm still quite fond of them and I like being a Warden with a bow, so it seems fitting to be a Bosmer.
Would quite like it to be Nord, but I couldn't seem to make an, even vaguely, good looking female Nord.
Which is slightly odd, considering Nordic people, in our world, tend to be considered better looking than average, if anything.
I think it's something to do with the eye shape all the base models have?
They're kind of half moon shaped and you can't change them.
I do love all the races but I just happen to like Bretons more. I find it interesting that they have Mer in their family tree which gives them their affinity to magic.
They also tend to be friendlier/more accepting than most of the other races. But I suppose if you made your living as a merchant you'd want to be as friendly as possible to so they buy your stuff too.

I have three Argonian characters for RP/questing. They are my favourites by far.
Argonians are so alien compared to real life, and inside the game their lives are so messed up, which means there are few expectations or stereotypes I have to contend with when writing their personal histories. Their names also help a great deal in connecting the backstory to the in-game character. The in-game character and the back story feels all joined up, and that's very good for immersion. It's not something I've really been able to do to the same extent with my other RP characters.
