The oldest profession in ESO…

Always and only playing Daggerfall Covenant in EU PC, this last Sunday early morning (as always with AD morning cap), I witnessed a cheating strategy by two at most of my beloved Alliance (and we know cheaters are one of the oldest profession all across Alliances in ESO), but this time I sort of was in the middle of it for the first time:

A few of us were fighting AD as they got one of our Scrolls. Capital messages starting appearing in Zone chat “DON´T KILL “(AD stilling our scroll)”…..DON’T KILL “(AD stilling our scroll)”. This AD is a well know Yellow for the beginning of times, but who is now playing this campaign as a DC (not judging). What would you have done? For me it was easy, to kill him/her, so a few of us did it. Aparently not all blues seemed to like it as I received a few whispering comments to me against my actions, against comments I made in zone chat (laughing mainly) about this AD player and situation; including a rant lecture on how this AD has done more for the Covenant that I could ever do, but this is irrelevant. By the way, this happened again with our second Scroll and this time no DC killed the AD´s Scroll taker as he/she hided by our base so no AD grabed it. This is the community we do have :)

Cheating is cheating, regardless and there is no excuse for the purpose of winning.

Just a heads-up, in case english isn’t your first language. “The Oldest Profession” is a phrase that usually refers to prostitution.

Sarcasm, irony to the point of ridicule a Cheater as intended.

Cheating is probably the wrong word of choice really. Based on your words all this person did was type some words in zone chat. I see people type all sorts of garbage all the time so why should this be any different? He has no power over anyone and no one has to do what he says.

fyi a person who cheats breaks the terms of the game, such as manipulating game code to gain an unfair advantage, or exploiting a bug to gain an advantage. These are serious offences and hence why people refer to those people as cheaters.

If they were using an AD character to run a scroll for DC, what would I do? Report them for not playing within "the spirit of Cyrodiil".

To be honest on PS4 this has been happening for ages , to the point where reporting it has not done anything that it is simpler to create a character for the opposite faction and either kill the scum and take the scroll back

If anything this is elitism, or clientelism. (Which I also hate and agree it sucks and kills equality and campaign health) But is not cheating. You tend to use that word a bit tad too much Zuri. :)

Hey Alucu, good to hear from you. To me is to act dishonestly to gain an advantage, two Alliances working together: Cheating. The act itself is not a big deal, people can do whatever, I just don´t want to take any part in it and less get told not to kill him or lectured by them.

Oh, i thought it was about the oldest profession like in real life.

We do have the House of Earthly delights, but i don't know if they go that far though.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."
