Two types of people... Which type are you?

This is fairly general yet can mostly be split into two categories, but it's certainly prevalent here due to the nature of the forum.

Type 1: Person sees something they perceive as too expensive, they think that's too expensive so they just don't buy it and move on.
Type 2: Person sees something they perceive as too expensive, they tell everyone else they're crazy to pay that much, the company is insane to charge that much, and otherwise create constant controversy, flame companies in disrespectful ways, etc.

Type 1: Person dies to someone in pvp or gets out dpsd, they try to get better, read a bit more about how to spec for pvp or to do better dps.
Type 2: Person dies to someone in pvp or gets out dpsd, NERF THREADS a plenty to everything.

Type 1: Person has the option to choose any race that fits their class. They realize they chose the wrong race, they change race to maximize their build.
Type 2: Person has the option to choose any race that fits their class. They realize they chose the wrong race, they come to the forum and say it's unfair that some races are better than their race and that all racial benefits that are better than theirs need nerfed.

Type 1: Person can't complete vMA to get their bow, they continue on hating everything, doubting themselves, etc. until they complete vMA and can get the weapon.
Type 2: Person can't complete vMA to get their bow, they came to the forum, started a thread requesting to nerf the vMA bow.

Type 1: Can't get something. They realize that they don't have to have everything.
Type 2: Can't get something. They hate that someone else has something they don't have therefore changes need to be made, stated in the most vitriolic way expressing their extreme disapproval, that someone else will have something that they don't have.

Now I know I'm Type 1. If someone is driving a Ferrari I don't write letters to Ferrari saying it's not fair they charge so much for their cars. My father in law saved for over 40 years to buy his Ferrari with cash. If I see someone wearing a Rolex Daytona I don't berate them for paying that much for a watch and proclaim how my watch tells time as well for significantly less.

Type 2 outnumbers Type 1 by far, especially on a forum based on their personality. I think it's getting rather toxic to read the forum and can't imagine how crazy it must be for the mods, but I feel it's necessary given the unusual changes happening. My hope is that ZOS stops making sweeping changes based on this and instead looks at data and continues to heavily value some of the more experienced class reps opinion.

If you think this is inaccurate, an over-generalization or something else I'm missing, please explain. And if you're Type 2, why do you feel the need to do... this all the time?

    So. Much. Agree. :)
My accountant told me to invest my money in bonds. So I bought 100 copies of Goldfinger.

Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers
Trumpets, towers and tenements, wide oceans full of tears.
Flags, rags ferryboats, scimitars and scarves
Every precious dream and vision, underneath the stars.

While you may believe it's a false dichotomy, the very nature of a dichotomy is to show two things in a very different way. Obviously this can vary based on one's own observations and opinion, but this is what I've observed. Based on your observations, @SaltySudd how would you present the dichotomy to elucidate why you think what I presented is false?

I'm actually guilty of that when I'm really low on milk and not sure how much cereal to put in the bowl.

Type 1 : guy reads the forum, dislikes what he reads and moves on, to other forums or to some other, more enjoyable activity.
Type 2 : guy reads the forum, dislikes what he reads, starts a complaining thread about how great he is and how most other people aren't.

Actually I like to gain insight. It's more of a sociological post, and I'd like to hear others refute what I'm saying with actual examples or reasoning behind it (realistically not expecting much with people like you here), but thanks for being snarky.

    Those who can, DO.
Those who can't, complain on the forums about everything...

    ...
    What?
What do you mean people don't really say that?
    Well...
    They should!
