Ideas for research

Telatansiv
I think if you get all the traits for a certain item there should be some kind of benefit like when you craft it, it automatically becomes green quality or like costs less materials. Anyone else ideas? The only reason I think it should be like this is cause it takes a lot of time to learn all the traits since time increases each time

I believe the incentive for researching all the traits is a) the ability to make any trait desired on that particular piece and b) some of the set crafting stations require 8 traits researched iirc

Like Ryluk said, certain crafting stations require multiple traits to be researched in order for you to craft the set items.

Those set items have decent bonuses above and beyond what you can normally put on crafted items.

The time it takes to research anything in this game is not prohibitive, restrictive or overly time consuming.

I play another game where you can get a 'Research Assistant' from which you can learn how to make items. Now it takes 15 days to research 1 recipe. By the time I had researched all the recipes they add a higher lvl at which point all of that research is useless.

I do not think that will happen in ESO for a start there are not that many things to research and they take hrs, not days to get.

Well, not until you hit the final two traits to research. I'm currently sitting on a one and a half day wait on researching traits...
