I would love a little square of desert somewhere right out in the middle of Alik'r with a fancy tent and a palisade. A BIG fancy tent, like Snugpod sized. I'd love to set up a full camp out there, sandstorms and all.

What do you guys think about the snowglobe house currently on the test server? Personally it's not the cozy winter cottage I was hoping for, even if it is a nice lighthouse. I don't really associate lighthouses with snow globes, and seeing Breda's tent as the sky kind of detracts from the desolate frozen outpost atmosphere that its exterior grounds suggest. Several people suggested a snowy house, so does this fill the bill for you?

I thought of a few more structures I like:
Bhosek's Palace - a great classic sized home

Breton Crypt - small to medium like where you meet Larisa on Betnikh

Gilbard's Nook - example of a small campsite on Betnikh, I think adding a few free small campsite houses in places that are somewhat hidden so it takes some exploring to find would be really cool. You could enter by clicking on a fallen plank that's blocking the way in, or on a crack between rocks or a hole in the ground inside one of those hollow stumps like you see in Glenumbra.

Have always desperately wanted a medium/large sized home in Evermore. The whole town screams fairytale village, plus it has all the important crafting/banking amenities. It would be my favorite place in game if it had a house.

Going to add the Winery, outside Alinor, I walked in and it was so beautiful, so much better than the Alinor Townhouse.
I think Summerset may be my new home, or home to one of my characters.
oooh! maybe I'll send my Breton Templar to Clockwork City, to go to college and study Mechanical Engineering.
Then I'll send my Redguard Sorceress to study Magic in Summerset.

Definitely a house in the style of Ceporah Tower! Bonus points if it's actually accessed from the tower! <3

Oh! And more empty spaces like the Cold Harbour Estate, for we custom builders. ^_^

Both homes I would love to be in the Colovian Estates
    - I want a farm plot with rolls of crops we can buy from CS with a barn and medium house.
    - I want a ranch with a big barn and a medium ranch house with fields for animals to graze and a stream. Also several sets of ranch and farm animals we can buy for both homes.

I got Linchal recently when it was returned to CS and made it into a winery best I could with the grape press and the big wine thing you walk and crush grapes in.

It's not just a question of the size and style of the homes. There's an aspect of practicality missing in many of them. For example, I have Mathiisen Manor, and the upper floor of that has no rooms. It's just one large connecting space of stairways and corridors leading to balconies. It could just as easily have been four bedrooms (with doors).

Completely agree. Whoever designs the floor plans are terrible at creating rooms with purpose. There’s so much dead space in the designs

Placement; I'd like them spaced out better in zones. Some zones have the houses really close to each other and nothing in the remainder of the zone (looking at you Black Line Villa and Cryodilic Jungle House - right next to each other!).

As for style, a longhouse would be nice. A boat house that is ONLY a boat would be nice (ugh that HUGE cove, too much ZOS). Smaller houses too please, lately it's almost all been Notables. Come on ZOS! Ugh again.

This may be an Elder Scrolls legacy thing. The houses in Morrowind had the same issue. All corridors, and few actual rooms. Some of that was to provide confinement for combat, however, and that consideration doesn't apply to instanced player housing. I can only assume that the reason behind the style choices was forgotten.

I agree with you completely. This is a key issue with houses that come out. The house designers seem to have a poor sense of layout with respect to practical usage.
It's as if none of them ask themselves what people actually want to do with the spaces.
I'd much rather they just improve the range of structural components and give us blank spaces to design our own homes.

I totally agree. It seems like most of the homes are the less desirable variation of that particular building, like we've seen ones in the world that have more upstairs/downstairs floorspace or have actual rooms, but instead they just give us a blank open platform but no wall pieces to work with

Thanks again to everyone who has responded, I've updated the lists in the first post!

Townhouse in Shornhelm. I was a bit heartbroken when Homestead came out and there wasn't anything there.

    - A townhouse in Shornhelm, Rivenspire
    - A medium size farm with fields and a windmill. Gold Coast would be perfect but should probably be Colovian Estates
    - A sewer area inside the Thieves Guild in Abah's Landing
    - A desert tent with open dunes
    - A frozen dwemer cave system
    - A vampire crypt
    - A wizard tower in Nibenese style
    - A traveling Khajiit Tent which you can relocate in the game and dock at specific places

But Anvil Castle is so much cooler than Linchal Grand Manor

I love the court yard entrance, and I was trying to explore a little so I trespassed a little into tho the different corridors.
    That place is huge!
Sure Linchal had a nice garden out front and I love the stable/barn house, but the manor on it's own is not impressive.
