Per the announcement in the announcement bar, the servers are currently up (though not for long), but new logins are disabled. So, people who signed in before logins were disabled are still able to play, but no new logins are allowed.

The login was closed 2 hours earlyer.
If you were ingame bevor, you could play until now.

So i waitet 2 hours and the maintance will take from now 2 more hours. nice....

I get they need to do fixes, but it's pretty bad timing for EU players...peak hours, and those that work - the only time they can get on. : (

Never missed a daily reward...QQ.

They evidently shut the login server down hours ago but allowed those already in game to stay. Now, I guess they have booted them and shut the servers down.

That the servers are offline. You are confused. The servers have only just gone offline, but they have been preventing new login for over 2 1/2 hours. So now its like 3 hours since you could last log in but servers have only been down like 10 minuites.

Just a quick look at the hair fashion in this game is off putting to me - looks like japanese children. Nothing against japanese, but I do not have to love their hair styles.

Thanks for the update. Of course, the servers have already been effectively offline since 2 pm EDT for those of us who didn’t quite manage to download the Murkmire patch and get online before log-ins were disabled.

If it's Harvest Map you're getting errors with, look at the comments on the addon's page: The author posted the exact lines in the lua that need to be changed and what those changes are. As of a couple of hours ago, you had to make the changes yourself. I'm sure a fixed code will be forthcoming.

It comes down to will vs skill, ZOS WANT to put the servers up and run a successful and bug free fun game but unfortunately they lack the ability to do so.
The flip side is that they CAN run a fun and bug free game they just don't want to.
Which do you reckon it is?

Well I would not recommend another MMO that requires sub.. try out GW2, you get ridiculous amount of content for free2play. If you like it, buy it once and have access forever. It is not as good as ESO but something of a change. Similar account bound systems, no heavy emphasis on grind, easy to get into.

FF14 will take you ages to get max lvl and classes are so slow, we are talking 2.5 second global cooldowns and 1-2 ability spam for many many levels. It is not a good MMO to 'try out' unless you plan going all the way to max.

I hop between GW2 and WoW admittedly but my sub there is free cuz I have endless gold.. bouncing between 3 games ensure you never get burned out of 1 lol.

What an odd time for maintenance though.

it was the login servers that they needed to take down at 2pm EDT...they came up with a resolution, so now they're putting some sort of eso+ maintenance into place so the actual game servers had to come down now
