Had they written 90% I suspect that there would have been less skepticism. There numbers on their side would be the same, the results would probably be the same but the suspicion would likely be 67.3% less

No you play the game and all your dlcs on both megaservers (same plateform). If you have it on EU, you have it on NA!

Already had an achievement, and happy there're people who understand marketing and last months' ZOS experiments with Crown Store and loyalty. Photoshoped %% image which is replaced every day with "fresh data" lmao. Ask yourself why we don't have "live" data information directly from servers.

And I don't know what to do with this house. It's extremely big for amount slots available for manors. If we had al least x3 times more slots, we could decorate it properly.

Apparently were still at 20%. Honestly I like the live data another site does for its monthly events. And everyone helps to complete the bar every month.

Apparently, this number (not 19 or 21, but 20) was set just for fun. And will be updated on September 20, when event starts officially.
Maybe I was wrong with "live data" because I remember how someone from ZOS showed a real statistics of armor type used in PvP. Because people argued that everyone is using heavy armor and there is no sense of using another type. All 3 types were almost equal. And he said that he had to download a huge amount of data (don't remember precise number). So, mb it's impossible technically or takes a too many resouces.

That seems likely to me. I get similar requests all the time at work - How many people from this area participated in this project? How many under 18's volunteer with us at least once a week? Seemingly simple questions using data we absolutely should have. And we do, but it's all in a database which is not designed for searches like that so I have to download whichever report/s will include that data and then manually trim it down to the bits they did and then turn it into a nice graph or chart or whatever they want and it takes time to do. If the computer plays nice it's about an hour, if it's being difficult or there's no way to get the data in one report it's longer. Certainly possible to do but not always worthwhile, and not practical for live updates.

Live updates on a website would also be possible but then the IT team needs to build the software to extract the data and the web team needs to build the website to display it. Again fully possible but is it worth doing for a one-off when a static image manually updated every so often will work nearly as well? (Bearing in mind that all the time these people spend doing these things is time they could be doing something else which might be more important.)

And from past experience with similar events in other games it wouldn't matter where they get the data from or how rapidly it's updated or even if they showed real numbers instead of a percentage - people will still claim it's all faked and just showing arbitrary numbers going up every so often. So why bother?

Imagine of combination of "Murkmire patch/nerf" and "sorry, friends, you didn't do it, so buy villa in CS for 15k". Of course we will get anyway. And I have bad feeling when exclusivity (yes, usually it is 15k of crowns in average) gives away for free. Not a good sign of financial situation overall.

As for me, I am happy there are people who understand games and how to enjoy playing them instead of "discovering" quite obvious marketing plots.
There is action, there is movement among player base and I am fine with that.

Is it weird that some of us can do both? I sometimes think I don't like understanding marketing exactly because it can ruin the novelty of things like this - as soon as I saw it I started thinking about what the costs and benefits to ZOS are and what that would mean for how it'll run in real terms. But I have to know about marketing for my job (which is not marketing but it's related) so I don't have much choice.

Fortunately I can choose to ignore that and just focus on what's in it for me, what I want to do and what will be fun. I'm looking forward to helping other people get the achievement and seeing reactions in-game (where people tend to be more positive) as each reward is unlocked, completely regardless of why ZOS are doing it or what they get out of it.

I already had it on NA, but will get it on EU as well. I wish instead of the pony, they us gave a torchbug pet though, I find these infinitely cuter, though I get they want to keep a theme with the pet and the mount.

No, it's not weird, many of us do. In current manipulative world which needs your time and money it is a necessary function to understand existing instruments of manipulation, so one would be able not to fall for them.
The reason I mentioned it is that people behave like they uncovered some highly secret plot that is somehow disadvantageous to us, which is not. Any event essentially is a marketing plot, because MMO is a business. Nothing bad in analyzing what could ZOS goal be, because it actually lets you estimate the probability of getting this house. The bad thing is to try to discourage others by giving an unfounded information.

No don't have to buy it again...also ESO+ transfers as well as all the mounts, pets, and stuff you obtained if you bought the pre-purchase DLC's and Chapters...

So if you have the time to do it...no reason why you shouldn't do it on the other server...

Don't intend to participate in the event

I'm sorry but i have no interest in a pony, yet another horse and a house i'll never use let alone fill with useless items that cost a fortune..

I do hope those that want these things get them though, i just have no interest.

Plus i want to do the DLCs in correct order and i'm only up to Wrothgar.

That's a good point. A lot of people have commented on having to do it without a mount if you switch servers but if you got a mount outside of the game like the ones which come with the Imperial Edition (original purchase, not the crown store upgrade), Morrowind or Summerset special edition or the loyalty senche then you'll have it on both servers. Or the palomino horse if you got it back when it was sold through the website, but I don't think many people did that.

Just be careful not to spend any crowns while on the other server - your crown balance is shared but the items are not so you'll be unable to use your purchases when you switch back, but the crowns will be gone.

I was wondering if they were doing this event to dangle a carrot to veteran players.
The mount and the psijic villa are nice.

*waves* I'd love to take you up on it - but I can't get logged in on EU to get to chargen. Hates my satellite I guess.... You don't have to wait. Gina clarified in the event news thread you can achieve it now and they will count it towards the numbers.

If you've never played on that server before you'll start at level 1. Make a new character and you'll just need to finish the tutorial and then you start on Summerset. Because of level scaling (and the fact that there's barely any combat) you can do Pathfinder right away, no need to level up at all.

But do remember to check your collections to see if you have any mounts - there's several which are obtained outside the game and so you get them on both servers (like the ones from Morrowind and Summerset collectors edition). It won't be trained at all, but it will be a slight speed boost.

And if you have played on the other server before you'll be whatever level you got up to on that character.
